Poe should have been slapped for that line. No wonder he gets no promotion. He isn't up on jetpack tech that's been around for many, many, many years.

Needing a "ground invasion" to take out a tower (that's--somehow--immune to torpedoes...I guess?) that tells launching enemy spaceships how to find...the sky(??) so that they can leave the planet's atmosphere instantly makes this a Top 10 all-time film.

I am super looking forward to Andor S2 and the Mando movie.

I just finished season 1 and have almost finished season 2 of my 2nd view of The Mandalorian.

I can’t get over how much more I am enjoying it with this 2nd go around. Like I’m becoming a hard core fan here. Even bought some Hot Toys figures. I never buy hot toys

I got the theme song stuck in my head 24 hours a day.

Only one bad episode in the first 2 seasons.

I’m hoping I get more out of season 3 this time around. Then it’s time for a 2nd viewing of Andor which I’m really looking forward to.

I tried watching Obi Wan again. Got half way through and had to quit. What a waste of an opportunity.

Curious how I feel about Ahsoka series again. I enjoyed it the first time but it had lots of cringe also.

Anyways looking forward to the Mando movie also.

My enjoyment of the ST is still there , but overall I have little time for films these days.

What was interesting is my increasing dislike of a lot of the OT.....

Parts of ROTJ is boring at many times, and the Endor parts are really suffering from age.

ANH, is just aging out.

ESB is still a great watch.

The OT are still leagues above all the others , but they are losing their luster over time as well.

I find the PT 80% unwatchable.

I feel bad for you my friend. I still watch ANH and enjoy it fully. Now that I have the fan edit “Final Cut” I really enjoy it as it kept in the good updates and removed the Bad.

As you said Empire is still great.

ROTJ has a few great moments which save the film for me. I don’t even hate the Ewoks. But like you said, anything on Endor is a drag.

TFA was unoriginal to the extreme. TROS was stupid to the extreme. TLJ was insulting to the extreme.

Arguing which was better is like arguing which kind of poop tastes best: post curry diarrhea poop, steaming dog poop or the crusty poop from a public restroom toilet bowl. At the end of the day it is all S***

IDK if it’s because I just watched Mando season 1&2 or what but my son and I are watching the movies and OMG are these Prequel movies bad.

TPM still has good moments but Jar Jar’s annoying level has gone up several notches due to the poorly aged VFX

AOTC - This is easily the worst made film of the series. Hayden’s performance actually makes a little more sense if you interpret it the following way. He’s an incell. And my son pointed out how he talks like those cringe tik tok vids of incells professing threat love.

That’s all fine accept WTF does Padme see in him. My only guess is she is a gal who will **** anything and the kids she has might belong to Obi Wan’s, Mace Windu’s, or yoda’s

ROTS tomorrow night. Sigh.

Waaaay back in the early days of 2002, the fat ginger from "Ain't it Cool News" got to see a screener of AOTC. Naturally, he gushed over how amazing and perfect it was and declared it the greatest SW movie ever.

One thing I never forgot about his review was that he seemed to imply that Anakin uses his Force powers to basically brainwash Padme into loving him.

That sounded sinister and intriguing. I couldn't wait to see what he was talking about.

A few months later I saw the movie and there was nothing at all to suggest what he was implying. At all!!

I was beyond disappointed....well, we've all seen AOTC. It sucks.

But IF Anakin really was using the Force to roofie his childhood crush, that would have made things so much more interesting and dark and set Anakin up on his path way better than anything we actually got.

No idea where that guy got the idea. Either he pulled it out of his ass, or wildly misinterpreted the movie, or maybe he never even saw the screener in the first place and it was all BS. But I still haven't forgotten that idea and how much it would have improved things.

Totally agree. The PT is only enjoyable to the select few, who were kids when it was released....rose colored pod racer goggles if you will.

This argument goes all over, but I can watch the ST (sans TLJ) most of the time and make it through.....only PT film I can do that with is ROTS. And it's reaaaly close these days ....
