The 4th episode of season one where he meets Cara Dune. It’s just so cheap looking. Takes me out of the show cause it looks like the Ewok movie on ABC.
Was that the one where they had to take out the AT-ST the raiders were terrorizing the village with?

Those killable alien raider guys were basically from the Ewok movies right?

Also my least favorite. I was not nearly as smitten with Cara as others were, and the whole thing had a vibe that reminded me of lesser episodes of "Firefly". Some good moments, though.

I liked the concept of the Cara Dune character, and Carano's athleticism but she's not a particularly good actor and Howard's directing was pretty weak -- in that episode anyway.

That episode, IMHO, had a lot of homage to Lone Wolf And Cub. I really liked the early Mando episodes. He was wandering around, getting into adventures, meeting people, while Grogu was in perpetual mischief, much like Cub did.

One issue for Cara Dune was Carano was clearly out of shape. If your bread and butter zone is to be a physical actor and really engage in the fight scenes, then you have to commit to that.

Show absolutely positively hit a wall when it tried to keep churning out storylines to support back door pilots and spin offs and kept trying to engage into a larger overall "universe" The show was great as it was in the beginning, small scale, sort of detached from the main canon. Same thing happened to Glee. It was a fun show, the first half season, with a lot of humor and heart, but small stakes with more realistic people. Then it became an "event" and had to drag in all this other bloat that killed off what made the show a fan favorite in the first place.

Viewers are just smart enough to understand when a brand is grinding down to trying to squeeze every nickel into pure paste. It's exhausting to watch interesting things get whored out into just more energy drinks and "content"

I loved those early Mando episodes, too. Just an adventure of the week, like Dukes of Hazzard and The Fall Guy and Knight Rider. Loved those as a kid.

IDK if it’s because I just watched Mando season 1&2 or what but my son and I are watching the movies and OMG are these Prequel movies bad.

TPM still has good moments but Jar Jar’s annoying level has gone up several notches due to the poorly aged VFX

AOTC - This is easily the worst made film of the series. Hayden’s performance actually makes a little more sense if you interpret it the following way. He’s an incell. And my son pointed out how he talks like those cringe tik tok vids of incells professing threat love.

That’s all fine accept WTF does Padme see in him. My only guess is she is a gal who will **** anything and the kids she has might belong to Obi Wan’s, Mace Windu’s, or yoda’s

ROTS tomorrow night. Sigh.

It was that japor snippet, dawg. After Ani gave her that, she was putty in his hand.
