At least we got something new in The Mandalorian. Something interesting and different. I know something different could be bad, aka ST, but another same look CW show... Guess KK thought she could pull plenty out her back side with how the ST would go. Maybe doing the characters/storylines from the EU might've been the smarter play instead of doing "all new", eh KK?

Whats wrong with it having the same art style as TCW? Its a direct followup.

Thats like complaining about another live action project, because it looks the same.

Also people complained when they changed TCW art style for Rebels, so what should they do, change it or not?

Just something different and not kiddie. This will just look and act like Clone Wars/Rebels, nothing new except...no, nothing new cause they are clones fighting robots again. What else is out there besides Mando and CW? ST has been over since TLJ came out. Try a more mature art style movie. Diversify your product line. Mando is starting that, not the animation side.

Star Wars is for 12 year olds - George Lucas

Whats new about Mando? Just a guy fighting stormtroopers.

They are making plenty of other things apart from Mando and Bad Batch though, they cant just snap their fingers and have them ready in an instant.

If this isnt for you then just dont watch it, but its certainly for me and plenty of others.

TCW has been a huge hit for Star Wars and that has carried over to Mando. They don’t need to try anything different. The animation works. The writers work. The story work. The characters work. Merch sells. Fans love it. Besides, they have like 8 different live action shows planned so I have no idea why you are whining.

I never understood that quote. Star Wars is for everyone. If it is just for 12 year olds, we are a sad bunch on this forum. He was happy to take everyone's money when he owned it.

What is new with Mando? How about everything. The way it is shot, the tone, the focus on an actual cool Mandalorian character for once. Bringing background characters to life. Guy never takes off the mask when actors have to have their faces shown. The Marshal was easily the best episode ever. It is innovating Hollywood. And it isn't 12-22 episodes that drags on. It's new, it's fresh, it's hip.

With KK at the helm, she doesn't know what to do with SW. We're in this position cause she screwed it up and Favreau thankfully said enough is enough. A clone with a different color doesn't do it for me. I'd be happy to explain my entire universe game plan since I have wasted plenty of time on the pre-Disney content.

I gave it a shot with the CW episode to see what the big deal is. Just another clone squad, but this time resembles a D&D group. CW has some good stuff, some bad. But more clones, again.

Says the guy who whines over in the ZSJL thread. Now it is my turn. :devil

I preferred the original.

Nobody is saying you cant enjoy it as an adult, but his quote means the primary audience is children. There are plenty of properties made for children that adults can still enjoy.

They are making the things you want to see. If you cant be patient then thats on you.

The Mandalorian wouldnt have been made without Kathleen Kennedy, I dont get how nobody realises that. Favreau and Filoni dont get to do whatever they want with free reign.

Not everything is going to pander to you, thats life. Get over it. There are countless types of Star Wars fans, and they need a variety of content.

The twelve year old Lucas was referring to, was really himself (and Spielberg when it came to Indiana Jones).

Star Wars for Lucas was reliving his watching of Flash Gordon and King of the Rocket Men re-runs as a child.

Indiana Jones was reliving the likes of **** Tracy, The Tiger Woman and Zorro.

So, no matter where Star Wars goes, at its heart is nostalgia, and the desire to re-experience the same sense of youthful wonder.

Personally, the OT captured it, as did Rogue One, Solo and The Mandalorian, but not really the PT, ST, Clone Wars or Rebels.

They will never make what I want in live action. Not patience required, just common sense.

KK thinks she knows SW and she doesn't. She knows how to put people in places, write checks, and fire directors. Favreau would be doing a lot more if she wasn't in the way. We might actually have a good ST if it wasn't for her. I'd rather have a good ST than a Mandalorian series. But if someone at the top was smart, this would have already happened on the movie side.

Not everyone pandering to me? I don't understand! All I wanted was not to see Luke Skywalker milking some alien on some desolate planet. So there are people that do like the Sequel Trilogy? :panic:

Man that was boring, verging on tedious.
Another Disney princess introduced.
The formula has run its course.

It was an amazing episode that picks up in both time and quality of the last season of the Clone Wars. Even a big bad OT villain plays a prominent role which is awesome to see.

Yup! Really cool to see him on screen again, regardless of the form.
