They could still say he lived though. Aren't we getting a Fett spin off film? Maybe that could end with him escaping the Sarlacc.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

Yeah, Fett should stay dead, for sure. But I doubt he will. There's too much money to be made with more Boba Fett lunch boxes and action dolls and whatnot. Understanding that, I do hope the new films won't be viewed as merchandise commercials first, and artistic creations second, which seemed to be the case with the prequels. The Django Fett thing is still. . .ug.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

I don't care if he survives the sarlacc or not, but I've always felt it was a lame death for him.

I wonder if his spin-off movie will turn into a series of films. Hopefully he keeps his helmet on as much as Dredd did.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

Boba is a terribly overblown character and better stay dead.
You can tell all you want about his past but there's no need to revive old pun.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

One idea Joe Johnston had for a Boba Fett movie was to say that the clone Fett was killed so someone who's actually a badass takes over the name and armor. That's not a bad way to deal with it.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

Yeah. What if he was tipped off that the last of the Jedi would be taking down Jabba and his crew and instead put some putz in the costume that day to take his place. :lol

Totally reeks of commercialism, which is also the problem with saying he isn't dead IMO, but sure, creative writers could come up with a good way to bring him back. And, I have little doubt they will somehow.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

It wasn't commercialism, it was just an idea of his because Boba as a clone in the prequels is stupid and he wanted to figure out a way to make Boba not stupid

Anyone still think Von Sydow will play old Obi Wan ghost?

Did that many people think he'd play Obi-Wan's ghost in the first place?

I hope we catch a glimpse of Fett, even a cameo.

STAR WARS EPISODE VII: Revenge of the Mandalorian, actually he's a clone born on Kamino and his dad's head was chopped off by Samuel L. Jackson...

The film starts with a swoop being chased by a T-16 air speeder as it flies over the Sarlaac, the camera pans down and we see a 70 years old Boba finally crawling out. Boba then stumbles towards the wreck of Jabba's sail barge, each step in the burning sand causes agony on his blistered feet. Inside the wrecked barge Boba finds the skeletal remains of Jabba and his sycophantic followers, Boba drops to his knee's and in his best Charlton Heston/Planet of the Apes impression yells....
Damn you Solo! Damn you Skywalker! Damn you Chewbacca! Damn you Calrissian! Damn you all to hell!!!

:lol:lol:lol

:lol

Elsewhere on Tattooine little Timmy is explaining to the authorities how his semi retarded farmer father was promised lots of money by someone named Bubba Fetta just to get dressed in a cool helmet and costume and go point a "fake" gun in a "TV commercial".

:lol
