Raise your hand if you thought about Taxes when watching the OT.

Sand was foremost on my mind. I couldn't help thinking about how its dry and coarse and gets everywhere.

I also was strongly of the opinion that the jedi were evil. Controversial point of view at the time but I nevertheless engaged in such discourse while swordfighting with my brothers.

Mandalorians will be represented by Boba Fett's son.

Can't have a Star Wars trilogy without a Fett.

New Fett must be a chick :lecture And no helmet removal, bring back the who under it we had with Boba for 20 years before PT

I remember when Boba Fett was just a random, mysterious dude with rag tag, thrown together armor.

Then he was a clone, then a kid, then a kiwi, and now he might have a kid and a group of followers. Can't they let that sorry **** die in that ****** with some dignity? **** Fett.

:slap

Such a Star Trek way to depict a culture... everyone dresses alike and does the same stuff. A whole planet full of people who became bounty hunters... who builds the cities? Who grows the food?

A planet where everyone has the same Myers-Briggs profile? Societies don't function this way.

And considering every second alien in the Mos Eisley cantina is a bounty hunter if you go by the EU backstories its a hell of a crowded business for an entire planetary population to go into. How unspecial Boba Fett has become.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

1980: "Boba Fett... the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy..."

2014: "Our guest today on Oprah is Boba Fett. A traumatized youth from a tribal planet populated solely by bounty hunters and clones has a new book and a cookie recipe!"

It's the interplanetary version of globalization--comparative advantage! The cities are built by people from the neighboring planet, who know how to do nothing but build cities. And when those people have disputes over deadbeats who don't pay their bills, they hire someone from the bounty hunter planet to go get 'em. Etc. etc. Sort of like how China is the only country that manufactures anything, and the Canadians pretty much only make maple syrup and beer.

You're saying somewhere in the Star Wars universe is a planet Belgium where there make nothing but waffles and kickboxers?

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

**** the Mandalolorians.

According to my POTF2 Boba Fett cardback from 1995, the Mandalorians all died out. Their race and culture were extinct. The only note worthy thing about them is that this bounty hunter from Empire Strikes Back sported the same armor (along with other types). That's why his gauntlets were originally two different colors, along with everything else. He found all this crap and put it together himself. That's why he's got a flight suit, and a jetpack, and a ___ and a ___. His suit is thrown together parts.

They coulda made him some cool "man with no name" character that has no origin or history (was he a "Mandalorian", did he just find or steal the armor?) but no, they ****ed it all up. No more Fett crap, he sucks! Clones suck! Mandalorian kiwis are EU!
