Love this shot so much. Practical creatures. I already like every alien in this shot more than any alien in the prequels.

I don't recognise a single one of them as an existing SW alien.....unless that's a Hammerhead on the far left....and maybe a Dexter Jedster alien in the middle?

Looks like a pirate or smuggler's den. Just instantly made me think of the Cantina and Jabba's Palace in a way nothing from the prequels did.

Oh no, not the practical/cgi discussion again, please no. :lol

PT had lots of practical, not the reason why they are garbage.

Those look good though, you're right. :lol

agree to disagree. It was one of many elements. The story and writing, and directing being the big ones.

I'm excited for this movie. It certainly has a great feel of both the OT with some modern design and effects. Been trying hard to not read anything about this so I'm actually glad, as I go through this thread, that I dont have a clue what some of you guys are talking about.

Guys, cmon...

It's technically as if only one of them is alive since the Emperor is haunting Vader's corpse and wears him like a puppet.

Yes. This.

Prequels had all sort of practical sets, animatronics, masks. Huge stuff, some of the sets were enormous.
