Damn I still can't believe Adam Driver is the son of solo and Leia....Leia muSt have been frightened by a rancor elephant when the carnival was in town....or maybe she was drinking or smoking....will never get that casting why moment

Like him or not Broom Boy kid was actually a good actor. He really sold the "whoo whoo whoo" yell when the horses escaped (something Jake Lloyd could never do.)

Wow, I used to come in here after a night to find 20 pages of new posts... now, only a little over a month after opening, the conversation amounts to one page.

WH: Sad.

I, like everyone (both TLJ fans and haters) have no burning questions whatsoever - plot developments, character revelations, relationships or outcomes (all staples of episodic SW films) - that need answering in Ep IX. Whether you loved it or hated it, there's no story or character momentum to make you want to see IX - the story is dead in the water at the end of TLJ. This makes it way easier to walk away from the ST.

I agree with not having a burning need to know "what comes next" but honestly I'm totally fine with that. Too often movies feel like a setup to the next installment with either no resolution ever coming or resolution only coming (satisfyingly anyway) in the final episode/sequel. ANH wasn't like that. Sure Vader gets away but it's a wholly satisfying experience unto itself. I'm not knocking all cliffhangers because obviously that would include ESB but I love that so many major things happened/were revealed in TLJ that it can serve as an easy/satisfying jumping off point for both haters and fans alike. You're already dismissing Episode IX which is fine and what's nice for me is that if Episode IX sucks I can dismiss it too without having to forsake TLJ. I'll just forever say that the Saga ended when Luke died and that future generations of good and evil will just forever be dealing with their own conflicts. Since according to Disney the Saga will never end at some point we'll all have to pick our own personal jumping off points whether it be in the middle or end of any given trilogy anyway.

Well, from memory, the ESB novelization was released a MONTH before the movie came out, so no surprises in the "what would happen" department. I guess embargoes were only used by Arab oil nations back then.:lol

Dang, you're not the first person I've chatted with online who read ESB's spoilers in the novelization before seeing the film but I just can't imagine being robbed of experiencing such an all-time defining cinematic revelation on the big screen (at least for those of us who were alive and going to movies at the time of the film's release.)

Clearly we're down to the important posts based on the above.

:lol :lol :lol

But the amount of posts within that 6 week window is equivalent to 4-6 months worth of posts for many other movies so it falling off is really nothing alarming.

Did you really expect another 6 weeks at that crazy pace.

Attention will soon be fully given to Solo anyways so in the down time enjoy some Black Panther and IW.

Now Wor-Gar is tracking the weekly percentage drop-off of posts. :lol

I hear that TLJ memes cratered on Chinese messageboards after just one week, lol.

Wor’s response to Xipo was pretty damn funny though I just don’t buy into his “sad” analysis lol

Mark Hamill said he told Rian that they needed to make a movie for the fans and that Rian replied "No. We need to think about our movie and what we want to do." Then people in the audience started clapping and Mark stopped talking mid sentence with a disgusted look on his face and he looked down with hands covering his mouth, shaking his head. Rian says he doesn't care if the fans hate the film because he appreciates their passion.

Notice the pat on the back Rian gives Mark as if to console him to get him to shut up.

Man johnson looks like he would steal Star Wars toys from Lucas's home...would love to call him something right to his face...make him cry or tweet

"Your honor I object to Junkion's Outburst!" "Sustained"..."One more outburst from you and I'll hold you in contempt of this court...That's 30 days of TLJ in solitary. you understand me boy" "Yes sir yo honor" " Your honor?" "Yes attorneys Khev and Jye." "We object!" "Overruled!"
