also, i'm pretty sure sidious takes over his cruiser after his death, as its the same ship he exits at the end of AOTC, a modified republic cruiser.

Wait, are interceptors a narrower division of a broader term for "fighter"? Are interceptors different from starfighters?

All you said was this:
Maul didn't have a fighter, neither did Dooku. No named bad guy has flown a fighter since Vader in 1977.

Pretty sure Fett's ship is a starfighter.

one and the same.

like car/vehicle.

fighters are for fighting, while interceptors are made for chasing/following/fighting.

Slave I is a basically a space dating pirate ship complete with cargo hold for prisoners.

nooooope. it's a customized attack craft, to make it more deadly than it already was.

if it had room for prisoners why would he tell the stormtroopers to put "captain solo in the cargo hold."

Slave 1: Slave I was a modified Firespray-31-class patrol and attack craft (from wiki)

So again, if it isn't made by the military does it not count as a 'fighter' to you, Khev?

I wouldn't call the Falcon a fighter, granted. But I would call the Slave 1 a fighter... in the way it is an "attack craft" or battle craft.

And Maul's too. The toys list it as a starfighter, the wiki lists it as an experimental starfighter. How was what I said wrong?

It says on wookipedia that Maul's ship is a starfighter bro. It had a cloaking device, canons, toys, a Lego set and errythang.

Remember Hasbro made Maul's ship and it was ****ing tiny. I think this was before I had fully stopped buying prequel toys but I just couldn't bring myself to buy something so undersized that it couldn't even come close to representing its one movie scene.

Grrr everyone quotes my "space dating" post prior to me fixing the stupid auto-correct. :banghead

Slave I was clearly multi-purpose, not a conventional fighter as our modern military uses the term. Yes Star Wars is fantasy but the military craft still echoes our own WWII and Viet Nam era war machines.
