I was just at my best friends house.. Been friends since 1st grade.. He is a Huge Star Wars fan but did not get a chance to go see it until today because he wanted to go with his whole family.. I said absolutely nothing to him other then I thought he would like it (He enjoyed TFA)

OMG.. The wrath he just spit out about this film... He hated it so much.. I actually found myself defending the film

I feel so bad for him...

They need to know the mockery.

Proof that John Boyega had no say over the casting choices for his love interest in TLJ...

The biggest tragedy of this movie.
You really have to wonder what kind of agenda they were trying to push when they chose rose over the hot sister...
They could have made rose a different character and give her similar screen time.

But it felt like they killed the pretty one as a symbol of destroying western standards of beauty

So I am watching a review about how this film is about breaking down our hero's and letting them go and looking to the future.. And I think... "Doesn't the wonderful Rose destroy all of that?" She basically falls in love with and saves Fin purely out of hero worship. Message would have hit home more if her actions caused some sort of real consequence.. But.. Oh I don't know and I kinda don't care anymore.. Just tell a good story damn it

If even the PT can improve on repeat viewings for you then TLJ has great chances of you enjoying it one day.

the Special Editions: suck
the prequels: all suck
Rogue One: sucks
The Force Awakens: remake and sucks
The Last Jedi: too different and sucks

No way I can possibly keep up with this thread. I was keeping up the first few hours when all the leaks came out, and even into the first two days of wide release, but it's just too much to try to catch up on now.

I just came back in to add that I still hate this movie, still hate TFA, still strongly dislike RO, and that Difabio must be my spirit animal or something cause I couldn't possibly agree with everything he says more.

Which is silly since that will never happen. But new SW movies *can* be better than ROTJ which Disney has shown us three times now.
