You know what I'd love to see in live action? The Valley of the Dark Lords. That would look epic. It looked so sick on Clone Wars.

Lol it really doesn't. Makes it tighter actually, more congealed. When the audience learns that Palps' master - who claimed to have the power to cheat death - literally raised himself from the dead, they won't be confused but rather frightened.

The muddling and complication comes from Snoke being a random Dark-Sider who was present during the OT and looks like a corpse - yet remains undetected by Palps, Yoda and Vader.

The entire Jedi council couldn't detect a Sith Lord in an office across the street. :dunno

Like I said, we'll all see soon enough. I just hope whatever they do it's something fresh and surprising. My love for the Skywalker saga remains anchored in the OT but I would love to get genuinely connected to it again.

To me, Rogue One has been the best thing to happen to Star Wars since 1983.

I disagree. I didn't care about any of the characters. Not even my love for Mendelsohn's acting made me care one bit about Krennic.

Vader [in his three minutes] is all I cared about. That's why when people say they want SW to get away from the Skywalkers and the Jedi and the Sith I tell them "All you're left with is people who don't matter."

SKINT's response to Wor-Gar's existence. :lol

Lol just being honest, man.

I didn't even care about the Chinese guy dying.

With TFA on the other hand, I teared up several times and was always invested in the new cast. Driver was excellent. Ridley was enchanting and Finn - who I expected to hate, sold me in 20 minutes.

I know. But we disagree... on a great... many... things.

I have to say, none of the characters really made an impression on me individually... but I enjoyed the movie immensely as whole. Perhaps it will wane in a year. But there's something about Rogue One that has a very OT vibe. Might be the pace, the intercutting, characters like Two-Tubes, not sure. Whatever it is, it worked for me.

I liked Driver the best in TFA. Ridley did a wonderful job. Finn... well, I just never bought him as an ex-trained stormtrooper. He was just too goofy most of the time (or as JJ would correct me, "likeable"). Once the nostalgia wore off there really wasn't much left for me in TFA and now I find it an incredible bore to watch. And no, that's not incorrect, its just my opinion. :)

I have high hopes for Ep. 8 (like I always do for a new Star Wars movie).

I liked Rey, Kylo and Poe the most. Isaac has a lot of charisma and made an impression with his limited screentime.

I think TLJ will be my new ESB. I say that as a massive Rian Johnson fan who worships Brick & Looper (The Brothers Bloom was also good).

If anyone can make something comparable to ESB, its Johnson.

I keep getting more excited thinking about how one of my favorite filmmakers is making a Star Wars movie. Rian Johnson is immensely talented and knows how to balance action, intrigue and quiet character moments.

I think Johnson will have a field day with Kylo Ren. What he did with characters in Breaking Bad makes me think he will really delve into character motivations and have some of the best introspective moments in any Star Wars film to date.

Couldn't agree with you more. Ozymandias and Fly are some of my fav Breaking Bad episodes. He's a master storyteller.

Why did they choose April for the new Force Friday..wasn't ANH originally released in the summer :dunno

Whoops..I guess it's only the celebration that is this month..which still is confusing

Celebration '17 falls in line with the trailer unveiling. For TFA it was Thursday, April 16 when the first full trailer was revealed. Its gonna be the same thing this time around with it dropping Thursday, April 13.

****, come to think of it we're 9 days away from the trailer.

Ahh so it's the trailer release..now I get it.

Can't believe people still remember when the TFA trailer was revealed..that seems so long ago :lol
