Wow so buying from sideshow takes longer? Oh well i had rewards points to use and some of them were free so cant complain too much lol. How are shipping prices from TBA?

Yeah buying from Sideshow takes longer, but the fast shipping from TBA is steep (i’m seeing $133 for Fed-Ex 2-5 day). And the last time I opted for the regular shipping (which is still $50+), by the time the figure arrived 30 days later - Sideshow was already shipping orders.
Yeah, you’re looking at $405 total at TBA with fast shipping to the states as opposed to $352 total at Sideshow.

Dang thats crazy. And i though sideshow was bad lol. Sideshow costs about 27 bucks and im in the first state above them.
That extra 50 is the price for getting things early. Sometimes it pays off and you’re not waiting for months on SS and sometimes it doesn’t.

It takes longer just by virtue of logistics. With some past exceptions, the figures are released locally in Hong Kong first. The cargo is in transit or has just arrived and being received by Sideshow while that's happening. They usually ship about a month or couple of months after the figures are out in Hong Kong.
Shipping costs from Hong Kong tend to be pricey; especially express and especially now.
TBA has a good reputation unlike TW, but they're still a reseller located far away. Sideshow is the US authorized distributor. There's pros and cons to be weighed everywhere. Sideshow isn't perfect by any means but it's fine to buy from them too, and there's a different sense of security going with them or a reputable authorized US retail partner.
This was the one Star Wars figure that i really wanted to get. But that sculpt.. This is even worse than their Bo Katan sculpt in terms of likeness. Honestly i see 0% Rosario Dawson in this. Nose has the wrong shape and is just way to small. Upper lip too big, lower lip too small. Eyes are completly off, these just aren't Rosario's eyes. Face looks kinda manly, like some androgynous guy cosplaying as Ahsoka. It also doesn't help that hot toys loves to symmetricalize the heck out of every Single face.

I see what youre saying when you put them side by side. The white lines around the eyebrow are pretty way off as well. I actually ordered the regular version. I didn't like the fact that the deluxe only came with the tree base and dont need another Grogu.

You're not wrong, but I still think it's a stunning figure. Even if it unfortunately looks nothing like Rosario, there's no mistaking who the character is.

i’m waiting until i get it in hand to fully make up my mind about the sculpt.
i really wasnt a fan of the proto sculpt (despite placing a day one preorder), but I think the final product paint apps are much better. i also think in the comparison photos above, there is slightly different lighting / angle making the differences a bit more pronounced.
it’s definitely not perfect and doesnt resemble rosario as much as it should, but I think on the shelf it will look closer than it does in photos. same happened recently with bo katan.

The figure looks like Ahsoka. I just don't know if it really looks like Dawson's Ahsoka. But it's still Ahsoka.

Exactly. Looks a little more like her in Reagan’s video there than many of the photos, though.
I absolutely love the DX boxes. Just always gives me a warm feeling and brings me back to DX07. Anyway, I'm happy with this...all except not getting the base and backdrop from the regular release...but I'll learn to let that go .. eventually

The paint app before seemed more "realistic" while now it looks more in line with the clone wars Ahsoka.
It looks sorta like a blend between the Rosario version and this clone wars version. But idk, It looks good either way.

This looks great - even though I don’t particularly see Rosario in the portrait, which is disappointing. I am sooo happy that the belt and boots are plastic and not pleather - however, it’s disappointing that the seamless arms extend down to the elbows, limiting the articulation, when you can’t even see them. Finally, I don’t get why this should be considered a DX - it’s so bare bones.
The box is almost nicer than the figure.
