Apparently has a movable head too so you can actually adjust him to look in different directions. A very nice option IMO.

More pics over at RebelScum. These ones are much better. Not so dark green.

Holy cow! I thought this was meant to be a statue of Yoda, not Casper...

I'd like to see a shot where he's looking straight ahead. Not that it'll change my opinion on the piece but you can reproduce a couple of scenes in Ep.V if you could.

I don't get the Casper reference

The head does look bulbous in some profiles but I think it's mostly just the angle of the camera. I think the robes need to be pulled up a bit more around the neck. When you look at stills from ESB you can tell where the puppeteers needed room to work him because Yoda appears to have some pretty crazy arms going on inside his sleeves in some scenes.

I took this pic and buffed up his robe a little more to add some padding. I think it looks much better. I would probably add a bit of foam around the shoulders of the statue to keep this effect. The actual puppet itself was likely constructed with a certain amount of foam padding underneath too.

I dont get all the hate, of course it's overpriced but the production piece turned out well from the few pics I've seen (IMHO).

If it was a 1/4 PF it would be passable. But for a 1:1 figure it looks like a toy. Very cartoony and soft in detail. His head looks a bit oversized too but it may be the angle of the pics. I don't hate it, I just hate that some are paying so much for it when there are better Yodas out there. I just want them to have the best for what they are paying.

Now that is a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE!

This angle looks better than any of the Sideshow promo shots - and you're futzing of the shoulders looks far more correct as well. The more I look at this shot, my dismay at Sideshow not shooting it from this angle grows... it looks great!

PS: yep, the Casper reference was the bulbous head :)

Looks like some false expectations from SS. That doesn't look like a life-size high end piece. I would expect that maybe from a PF, but as much as the face likeness is great, there is some things really wrong with that being in the over $2000 tier pricing. I'd expect much better.

I like it and would definitely get it if it was cheaper. If it ever goes down to $1500 I'll take the plunge...

Too bad Sideshow missed the mark on this one. I'm sure it will still sell out quicker than their other full size figures as it's still one of Sideshow's most attainable 'life-size' offerings but it would have been a much bigger hit had they considered the budget of your average collector.
