the last two weeks didn't think anyone was still watching this.

yeo' this was a pivotal episode.. Rogers deal with the Spanish was not what he expected,he had no control at all and look what happened to Eleanor.

and what about Madi? is she? possibly not.

Max,"how can we all have scarificed so much and have nothing to show for it" Rackham should have done her but it seems that the writers have given her more of a key role in the final outcome than she deserves.

Seems to be a niche show for reasons I can't put my finger on. I mean sure, I only started watching during the break between seasons 3 and 4, but it's not unusual for me to be a late-comer to a TV show.

Wow, so much to absorb from the last episode. This series deserves much more recognition. The first season was a slow burn, but events have escalated very quickly!

Rackham made it to Philly and was turned away with out a blink by Elenaor's Grandfather. But we find Eleanor's Grand Ma Ma' is the one with the real Power and Money.Grand dad is just the political Face.Things may change,Rackham may betray Flint in hopes of overthrowing Woodes with Guthrie $.

Madi is still alive. Not sure how this will play out between Flint and Silver, but it seems the treasure may pull the whole thing apart anyway.

I liked it. It was bittersweet in a way. Not everyone got "closure" (Rackham is gonna get hanged at some point, and I don't see Flint content with just doing farm work), but as it stands, it wrapped up the stories nicely and set things up for Treasure Island.

I really liked this series from the first episode. But what a big let down the series Finale was.The writers just decided to cut it's legs out from under it with last night episode.Yes the Battle was cool and only Won because of Flint.
But using Silver as narrator/story teller of what happened to Flint was so lame and lazy by the writers that even Madi couldn't believe it.

This finale should have started 4 episodes ago and Flint should have killed Rogers,Silver and Rackham. And Nassau should have been liberated.

Instead we get a fairy tale about Flint completely giving up and that would have never happened.Shame on this series for this ridiculous cheap shot absurd ending.

So what did the 2 other people watching this show think of the finale?

Even though it seems Flint ended up with Thomas I don't like his ending of being a slave for the rest of his life,

But there's no way in hell Silver's story is true:lol. It's a convenient lie he told to avoid the backlash for killing Flint to end the war. The entire scene was narrated by him, and then the bit at the end about stories we want to believe being true?

Flint is as buried as that chest:lol.

Rackham said:
A story is true. A story is untrue. As time extends it matters less and less. The stories we want to believe... those are the ones that survive despite upheaval, transition and progress.

I did get the feeling they needed to end things in a certain way to leave it open for a potential Treasure Island spin off and that may be restricted them a bit.

What a great series. I enjoyed the ending, with the allusions to Treasure Island. I'll be keeping an eye on a "complete series" blu-ray box set, for sure.

great series, though the ending was a bit Deadwood like...lol.. Guess it does leave it open to more potential moves later with Treasure Island if they chose to do so...I would be surprised if they end up doing anything past this though as I'm surprised this show wasn't more popular and can see it costing quite a bit to produce.
