oh yeh modded the shoes so they can go back on if bruce wants to chill ;)

I noticed your Hot Toys DX Bruce Lee in the background. How did you get the diorama to fit in the detolf shelf? People have been saying it's too tall for it?

So it has finally arrived. Thoughts:

a) No QC problems. Perfect production. Thank you Enterbay!

b) I really like the sculpt in hand
...just really think its perfect for Game of Death and not really the best option for this statue.
...by the way you can make the HT shades sit on here without mods. They sit a little further out like he is peering over them, but it looks cool.

c) Sculpting and paintwork on the body is top notch. Definitely the best Lee body ever produced (with the 1/4 Enterbay Way of the Dragon statue now moving to 2nd for those that want to know... :) ). I'm a long time martial artist and fitness lover and Lee's freakish body has always been an inspiration and something to strive for ...and seeing it cut apart with joints is just not right...

c) The statue body is very dark ....to the point where you can't really use other sculpts, the paint difference is too great. Not sure why they decided to make the statue and sculpt that dark skinned. Lee was that dark in a few scenes of Enter the Dragon ...but it was the execption not the norm. A bit lighter would have been better.

d) The feet don't sit flat on the base, they have little pieces under them to compensate. That just seems incredibly lazy on Enterbay's part. Its a statue, how hard it is it sculpt the shoes so they sit correctly? They don't even need to hold the weight since its designed to be permanently attached. Just make them basically flat!

e) Really really nice box and packaging. And so easy to store due to size since there aren't 100 accessories/hands/extras ...box storage is definitely one of most annoying issues in this hobby...

f) The polished wooden base and steel name plate really make a 1/6 scale collectible more impressive. Great stuff.

I'm definitely a fan of this format. Gorgeous base, no joints, well made and at a very reasonable price point in this rapidly-becoming-absurd-2012-market along with easy storage box.

At only $175 delivered (!!) I'd definitely buy more of these.
I'd really like to see them go to town on Enter the Dragon here:
1 - early MMA gear from the start of the movie
2 - dungeon scene with the staff or twin sticks
Something like those 2 would really take advantage of the format!

Hi nongshim,

I raise my defolt glass in order to fit in the dx diorama if you do not intend to trim off the bottom.

SAB ! I am very happy to hear that you also liked this statue. Great posting !

:hi5:

...any photos maybe ?

yeh c'mon SAB.pics please..at least EB nearly got this spot on..this is what the BTS GOD should have been.

Thanks for the kind words guys.
My photography ...and even uploading photo ability :D - sucks badly. Hence no photos yet.

Further notes:

I have now trimmed the HT sunglasses and they sit on the face really well. Highly recommend buying a pair off ebay to do so.
They soften the sculpt a lot since the mouth is fairly neutral. Its his narrow eyes that make it look like he is about to open a can of whoopa$$. With the glasses on he looks more chilled out than angry.
I have ZERO mod ability but the glasses are strong enough you can snip pieces off the arms with scissors a little at a time till you get it right, without risking breaking the thing entirely. Definitely do it guys!

The watch band I just cut in half and wrapped around his wrist. I have the break at the back where it can't be seen at all and it works well.

$20+/- on ebay delievered and it adds a lot! (assuming you don't want to damage the parts with the Hot Toys Bruce....)

I'll try to take some pics :D

Thanks for the suggestions mrchris and mikecjw. I managed to raise my detolf shelf using wire rope grips. But I'm also interested in an option to keep the shelf size the same.

mrchris do you have any photos of your DX diorama? Preferably the brown back to see how it looks after it got trimmed? Thanks.

here you go nongshim..my photo skills suck.(i'm sure the guys here will confirm that) my diorma was used when i got it so i didnt mind trimming it.
