you the man P1X4R!!!!!!

i wish i can offer something for those bowen chromies!!

Before this gets entirely out of hand, please understand that the people in charge of solicitations at Sideshow are evaluating the popularity of it (both online and at the show) and weighing all considerations. Having the PPO and edition size decided AFTER the show is actually a GOOD thing. Plus, I just found out today that they have decided to make it will a 'domestic exclusive' - meaning that, although it's only exclusively available from Sideshow in the U.S., international distributors will have limited access to it, allowing an easier time for those collectors to get ahold of it. Anyway, we're happy to see the excitement for it, and it's really been a hit at the Con! :duff

Of course, I did make a suggestion that they come up with a Red/Gold light up version, since that seems like a natural slam dunk for everyone.

i am that guy. :D

my intention was definitely to help out fellow collectors. to be honest. it was a bit of work to coordinate everything. i had to send one back for a replacement which took quite a few months but in the end they were all very happy. did the thought of flipping cross my mind? not really because i myself can afford this hobby without having to buy/sell just to keep up. i've kept 99% of what i've purchased. i'm in this hobby for purely selfish reasons. to look at my collection with joy and pride. :)

i've run into quite a lot of cool collectors here and over at statueforum where i am most of the time. surprisingly there are some who enjoy helping other collectors out. i find it rewarding if i can help someone get something for them. it works both ways actually. i've gotten some great offers for things they could have easily flipped for more money but they sold it to me for what they paid. i've gotten items knowing that their intent was to sell it. i have no problem with that. the fact that i did it as a friendly gesture for them was enough for me to do it.

just the other day someone PM'd me if i could get them the Bowen Chrome Iron Man set. in return he'd be able to trade me any two Gentle Giant Clone Commander busts. how super cool is that? :chew

Now I happen to think that this is actually ok. If you are buying multiple items to flip, then no...that's completely wrong. However in this instance you are helping out fellow forum collectors who, for one reason or another, are not able to PPO an item. If you can do it to help out fellow collectors then it's all cool. I'm sure that the favour will get returned in some way, shape or form!

Nice one P1X4R! :duff

That's very good news indeed, although I hope that they set a reasonable edition size that allows everyone who wants to PPO one the opportunity to do so without resorting to third party re-sellers (mainly Ebay)

I didn't say it was easy. It ain't easy for me 2 go. I have to save up for it just like anyone else.

Ease up off Josh. Don't you realize the sacrifices he makes to be able to attend. I mean how many hear are willing to still live with their parents just to go to SDCC and pre-order stuff before everyone else? He's a true warrior!

Just saw some photo's a guy posted on StatueForum, including a picture of his 4 pre-order receipts for the stealth IM! I assumed the limit on these was one/person, am I wrong about that?

Wasn't pre-order gonna start today at 10AM, so how can he allready have his pre-orders ??

I see lots of people at the Con getting more then 1....all I want is 1....is that too much too ask SS? I hope you really bump this edition size up cause there gonna be alot of PO'ed collectors if not. Its things like this that made me leave GG. Just do the right thing SS.

I really hope that this isn't the case. This is the potential problem with allowing pre-orders at SDCC before the website. You get greedy flippers buying multiple items whilst other collectors who only want 1 for their collection either miss out or have to resort to paying stupidly inflated prices on Ebay for one.

If he has preordered 4 hopefully they are all for fellow board members or that's just wrong. Nobody should be able to order 4 of the same item, because for the most part they are there just to make an easy buck once it hits eBay.

The actual online pre-orders for SS products begin at 10 this morning but those at SDCC can order it throughout the show. For the rest of us online pre-orders for IM will take place on Aug 9th. If there are any left that is.
