"It" had it's moments (unexpected laughs for one), but I was never particularly scared or even creeped out. Maybe I'm too jaded at this point.

*breaks screech*

Wait a minute -- you mean I'm being fooled by a bunch of enthusiastic youngsters again that a crap movie is good? I hate when that happens.

I cannot wait to see this movie tomorrow night with my wife!¡! we had seats that we bought a week ago . she's going to be so scared I hope I get some sleep

One thing I forgot to mention in my original review is that I feel most of the jumpscares were extremely predicable (not quite Alien: Covenant-level predictable, but predictable). Every time I thought something would happen - it happened.

Entertaining to an extent, but forgettable.

No joke man. I wasn't scared once. Which was kind of disappointing. I mean if you're deathly scared of clowns, then yeah, maybe you'll be scared.

If you've seen the trailers, you've seen all the essential bits. Which seems to be the norm nowadays.

Take a look though, you may enjoy it.

Honestly, I couldn't believe how much laughter there was in the theater though. And it was a packed house too.

Yeah, I thought it was fun. It wasn't as scary as I was expecting, but it was a good time.

When I think of "It" I don't think of a laugh riot though. Am I in the minority here?

The Goonies/Stranger Things route is different, but I think it works here since they act like real kids. There were a few moments where it felt excessive though. I'm expecting (and hoping) the sequel to be less jokey, since it's where they're adults.

For part two I'm hoping they'll go with a darker tone, not shy away from the gore, use more practical effects, and give Skarsgård more screentime.

Chapter 2 is supposed to focus more on the cosmic elements of the book supposedly. So I expect to see a spider-like creature and IT's arrival on earth. In the book, the adult stuff is much more serious. Some lighthearted stuff, but its VERY far and between vs the kids storyline.

Hopefully Muschietti will be able to include the scenes he intended for the first film but didn't have the budget for, like It's first interaction with humans. It'll be interesting seeing who they cast as the adult Losers.
