Aww hell, here's one more MVC3 pic

Pretty, strong, confident face, AND NO PUPILS! Koto's Storm looks dumb as all hell because of her pupil's and shading them all white would make any statue of her that much better imo. I'm sure there will be a swap out EX head with white eyes, but lord knows it might be a mohawk version or just some redux of the hair with the same face being used as the regular

Since she only had 1 hairstyle in her original costume there's no other credible option for an EX head that works for this costume aside from white eyes and the hair in a different direction like you said. This assumes the EX will even be a head. Could just be a print.

Storm also never went back to this costume after abandoning it. For Gambit, Rogue & Psylocke it made sense to do two different heads because they all returned to those costumes at some point. The artistic approach to their faces in general have changed over time.

Aside from the costume inconsistencies, what blows me is it looks like they missed the cat eyes. In modern times it's been ignored, but in those days she had distinctive cat eyes.

This is a horrible, horrible, horrible piece. No Jim Lee version, fugly head, not to mention the fact that the costume is completely sculpted. Sorry, but the whole Marvel line of Sideshow is getting worse and worse. First thought: They're a little bit early for April fools this year.

*Why can't Tony C. be more consistent with his sculpts? Some are great others are WTF?

How long ago was Emma Frost PF? Her face and the Cyclops EX head have to be the top two worst Sideshow sculpts ever.

Anyone else reading the Facebook replies? The Storm face is getting slammed pretty hard...I think there are only two positive comments out of 60+. I don't get how these two people think it is nice because the sculpt is "Africanized" because she looks like a guppy fish...not a human.

She was released in 2009. I wouldn't really add her to the list because it was an intentional sculpt & design.

I think whoever sculpted Storm used stereotypical reference to sculpt her face. It's the wrong way to go IMO.

Well rogue and ultron suffer from bad paintjobs.

I disagree on this. The art she was based on was gorgeous J Scott Campbell, the statue was a hot mess disaster. Not a home run IMO.

Agreed. Source art is great. Home run? It was a failed bunt attempt.
