I purchased the white variant because I wanted to display it with Black Panther(I feel the white costume contrasts better with it)....I received mine today and think it turned out really nice.
...quick pic.

It's honestly depressing how it seems like the vast majority of people who own this statue have either flipped it or are flipping it or already own the original black statue. Between the three I don't think any deserve to have it. If they were going to do a variant it should have been known to begin with and really you shouldn't be able to order more than one of a sculpt end of story, especially if they wanted the ES to be this limited. I swear they made this just to have a recent statue sky rocket in market value on the aftermarket so that people will get scared and want to preorder early now.

This isn't a fascist regime, it's a collectible market. People order what they want and if they have the money they can buy what they want. That said most times on any given statue there is a limit to what you can buy anyway. "Don't deserve to have it" as if buying something needs to be earned, that's a ridiculous notion you have. This isn't a sport, it's collecting items, buy what you like. If you miss something then you have to track it down.

Collecting anything else is the same.

Loving the pics of this. Mine still hasn't shipped. I'm getting frustrated with Sideshow Customer Services over this. I've sent them 3 emails now verifying my information and had a few live chats. Hope it ships soon :)

Just opened her up and she is gorgeous. Safe to say, I do like the white version more than the black, but I prefer the Ex head that came with the black version. Regardless, I'm keeping both.....

Enjoy the pics guys and don't mind the mess in the background. House is currently under renovation....

U big baby.. *pinches nipple*

Why you deserve!!!!

I look at it in a "how can the most people enjoy this" kind of sentiment. If I was in charge, I would have these variants go up at the same time and make all statues one per customer/household plain and simple. You can keep the ES fairly low this way, it helps stop a bit of flipping (though only a little), and it's just plain better. I find it incredibly annoying when people buy two or three of a limited statue, especially the really limited statues.

I think in general people in this hobby try not to think about others the best they can so maybe I need to learn that mentality. It hasn't worked for me so far yet. These sorts of hobbies do not have to be inherently selfish.

I wouldn't call it selfish to buy the Black & the White veriant. If I was a big Storm fan I would definitely want both. I think they look great posed next to each other.

It's outrageous that people buy this to scalp, but it isn't wrong to have both the black and the white. SS made enough of the black for the market it seems, but not enough of the white. SS should have made at least 450 of these, if not 700, because it is that nice.

They would sell. My frustration is with SS, because making something this nice in such a small quantity makes a lot more unhappy people than it makes happy people. THAT is what is really depressing I think.

Totally agree. If you're a die hard Storm fan then picking up this variant to go with your original black one isn't too off base.

Well as most tangible items, that are viewed as valuable, there will always be folks looking to make a quick buck. Its just the way things go and the best thing you can do if you want to avoid the madness is prepair for new releases especially during SDCC time.

This hasn't been needed so much nowadays when compared to the past where every new release was like a virtual riot.

It's funny because when SSC puts out a low ES it's a double edge sword in that a lot of collectors want a smaller ES to increase the rarity of their piece however when they do it you're inevitably going to be left with a large chunck of folks who didn't get one. I gurantee you the ONLY reason SSC put a low ES on this piece was because it was a variant of the original Storm and the original storm (with a high ES) is still in stock so they figured set it low to ensure they all sell fast...and fast they did. Most pieces they make will not have a low ES like this if they think they can sell more.

Perhaps it's just my piece, however, I must say that the paint job on WStorm face is better than the one on the BStorm (mine, at least)
The QC was awesome on this one.

Don't we already get every statue from SS now with sooo high ES. I'm just saying this was nice to ave a such low ES for a change. It's something we didn't expect from SS anymore. The thrill of the hunt remember? Something that as been missing from SS for a long long time. :wave

Good to hear & happy you like her. Judging from your picture she looks :drool

Congrats :)

I am regretting not buying this when I had the chance to flip...I even had the mouse pointer on the "Add to Cart" button. Sigh, I could have made a quick $150-200. I am getting soft in my old age. :dunno

No interest in the non-Jim Lee version, but that is a great paint application.

Just beautiful. If youre a fan of storm and you dont own this, youre a loser IMO.
