Thank you for posting your review Michael. This HS does well from a straight on/viewing from a slightly lower position and the likeness pops. From the side angles not so much due to the smirk. Nonetheless I can't wait to add this to the burgeoning 'Bridge Crew.'

I’m getting this, but it’s their worst likeness so far. I see an Asian guy, but Sulu, barely.

I am one of the few people who don't have the other figures and am just getting Sulu. He looks pretty decent to me, and I can't wait to have him in hand.

It does require the right angle, and the smirk will appeal to some and not others. It was a conscious decision on their part, and it does give him a little more personality.

As someone else pointed out, he's going to look strange being the only one smirking. What an bad decision.
