Some arcades in the U.S. already have import SFIV cabinets available to play.

The arcade (technically "recreational center") at my college campus has the Japanese version. I've only gotten the chance to play it once (there's always, ALWAYS a massive crowd surrounding the SFIV machines), but man, it rocks so hard.

If you wanna play it now, you guys should look up a local (or semi-local) arcade, they might have SFIV already.

Here's to catch you up a bit, Caedus:

^The first five on the list of characters you said you didn't recognize are completely new to the Street Fighter series.

13. E. Honda
14. Fei Long

^These two were actually in Street Fighter II turbo (and it's many hybrids). E Honda is the sumo and Fei Long is the Bruce Lee wannabe.

These 4 characters were introduced in the Street Fighter Alpha trilogy, which served as prequels to SFII and SFIII. Technically, Gen was in the very first SF game, but no one really considers the first Street Fighter to be a true SF title.

16. Gouken AKA Sheng Long

Gouken makes his first appearance in a SF game through SFIV, but he's been around a while. He was created as a prank in video game magazine EGM as an April Fool's joke. Capcom liked the fake character and has since adopted him into Street Fighter canon. He is Ken and Ryu's master.

To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed with SFIV's final character roster. There are dozens of fighters from previous SF games that I wish were included (Ibuki and Dudley from SFIII, Adon from SFA, etc etc).

So Gouken finally makes his appearance, he looks very similar to the design created for Masaomi Kanzaki's Street Fighter II manga

I can't wait for this... the only problem I have is that I wish they updated some of the SFII character designs... couldn't they have thrown a brown leather jacket on Guile or give Chun-Li a modified costume like in the Alpha series? sure, I know these are classic designs, but how long has it been since the last incarnation of SFII?

and I hate the design of Rufus... looks so out of place...
