What are you talking about? The standard edition stick is still available for pre-order at amazon.com. You're right about the tournament edition though. They ship to Canada, right?

Video Games and Video Game accesories are one of the few things Amazon.com will not ship to Canada for some reason. Amazon.ca never listed the sticks or fight pads for some reason.

It's not like we have a choice... both Editions are sold out everywhere... :monkey4

A bit wrong there.

The fight stick is still aval. Once this SF4 hype rolls over you're gonna see the sticks collecting dust somewhere.

Capcom announces SF4's many downloadables:

From Kotaku:

Capcom's plans for Street Fighter IV downloadable content are expansive... get it? They include a free Championship Mode expansion pack as well as alternate costume packs which will sell for $4 a pop.

The Championship Mode Expansion Pack, which Capcom says will be out "post launch", will include a replay mode, two new points systems and an enhanced tournament matching system.

• Replay Mode – Record, upload, and download top matches to share with the Street Fighter IV community. Players can analyze top tiered fighters matches, leave voter feedback for others, and share their own triumphant victories.
• New Points System - Two new points systems to measure your skill (Championship and Tournament Points)
• Enhanced Tournament Matching System - Skill level matching system offers improved tournament match making for beginners and mid-level players. Competitors earn Grade Points (GP) to earn entry into more advanced tournaments.

The five alternate costume packs will be sold by theme for 320 Microsoft Points on the 360 or $4 on the Playstation 3 and will be released over the course of a month.

• 2/17 – Brawler Pack DLC Pack will include alternate costumes for: Zangeif, E.Honda, Rufus, El Furete, and Abel.
• 2/24 – Femme Fatale Pack will include alternate costumes for: Chun-Li, Cammy, Sakura, Rose, and C.Viper.
• 3/3/09 – Shoruken Pack will include alternate costumes for: Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Gouken, and Dan.
• 3/10/09 – Shadowloo Pack will include alternate costumes for: Seth, M.Bison, Sagat, Balrog, and Vega.
• 3/17/09 – Classic Pack will include alternate costumes for: Guile, Dhalsim, Fei-Long, Blanka, and Gen.

Hit the Kotaku link above to see some screen shots of the new DLC outfits!

To be honest, I think Capcom is nickle and dime-ing us for these costume packs. $4 for each? pfff. I miss the days when you could just unlock special outfits in fighting games.

yup....seems most games are doing this now. instead of unlocking this stuff by beating it or from achieving quests they'd rather take cash for the stuff.

TBH...this is what dlc should be...non-essential extras to the game that only effect it cosmetically

the disc you buy should be the final game

Seriously. Now they want us to pay for extra costumes? I do miss the days of unlocking all the outfits now. Way to take away from unlockables from us.

Agreed 100% Seems like a new low in miking every dime they can get out of this game.

I don't get why they just don't put a character customization mode? It's like we're forced (if buying) with these pre-arranged costumes to which most don't like.

11 days people !!

cant wait to kick some ass with ryu once again.

The worst part of the DLC costumes is that the producer of the game stated he didn't want any DLC costumes or stages that the game should be complete out of the box to be fair to those without an internet connection. But it looks like his bosses went over his head and decided to milk us the fans for even more money. I think its wrong the game is going to sell tons of copies it will more then likely break over 1 million on the first day alone. So to then make us pay for costumes that should just be in the game already is just greed.

I agree, but usually non-essential DLC is announced some time after a game is released, meaning developers are working to keep people interested in their game after the fact.

Street Fighter 4 isn't even out yet! The fact that Capcom has shown us screenshots and vids of these costumes now means they must have spent some time developing them, meaning they had time to PUT THEM ON THE DISC! Charging us for the non-essentials that most fighting games include for free is absolutely ridiculous, especially when purchasing all the packs will cost us an extra 20 dollars! $20 for costumes? Really?!

What next? Is practice mode in future Street Fighter games going to cost us more? Is a practice mode essential?

We gamers have been ensconced in the slow induction of paied DLC over the course of 3-4 years so we've grown to accept the sting of paying for content we should expect to have on the retail disc for which we are paying $60. 60 dollars. It was agreeable when a game was half a year to a year old (meaning: out of the spotlight and public radar), but to wave DLC in front of our faces before a game is even out? WHAT?!

This is - to a lesser extent - the Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Horse Armor fiasco all over again. Recent offenders would be: Tomb Raider Underworld and Prince of Persia, the former of which will make us pay for extra levels that would be the only way to see the true ending to the game. Complete and absolute lunacy.

I agree, DLC should be release well after the game's launch... Like Gears of Wars 1
s map packs... They were release like 3-6 months after it's debut. DLC should be released once the game's Online play starts to die down, as a way to regenerate people's interest and want to play the game again... Not like this, if they have it made up already, they should put it on the disc!

cant wait! basically streetfighter 2 remade for the next generation and in HD too! and by the looks of it-the playability and gameplay will be as addictive as 2 was! the last time i was this excited was when i got SF2 champion edition when it first got released for the megadrive with a six button pad-it was £65 in rumbelows back in 1994ish!!:horror i remember games being real expensive in high street shops back then-£50 for mortal kombat on the megadrive!(1994):horror
