When is Kuato going to accept payment for the paint work? I'm down for a painted River Tam, painted Cameron Regular and painted Cameron S2 Battle Damage; will he do the painting of all castings produced in one big batch or will he do each version separately?

I can drop Kuato a line and see what his workload is looking like. We're still waiting on the two main versions of Summer as 'Cameron' from Chris, and I haven't been able to get any updates on that yet.

Kuato usually does the versions in batches as he gets them based on past experience.

Here is the final version of Summer Glau as River Tam. The Regular and Battle Damaged Cameron will follow shortly now that this one is wrapped up.

I've added a page to purchase the 4 different Summer Glau heads to my Head Sculpt webpage. You can access it here:

Items I have for Sale

This new streamlined purchase system seems to be working out really well so far! As time goes on I will set up a page for each project.

Looks good. Any articulation restriction issues with the hair?

Alas, yes. That's the trade off with long sculpted hair. :( The only work around would be to make a version with hair cast from a flexible urethane resin. This would necessarily be a more expensive option due to the extra time, effort, material.

However, if you want to use a wig or root some "real" hair the bald head is the way to go. :D

Hey Chris, looking at how great the hair is, what is the possibility of making Qui Gon hair extensions?

Les did it on a Qui Gon figure, but I believe he swiped them from a Timeline figure.

The official figure has the hair in the back but in the movie the hair was usually forward over his shoulders.

Seems like it'd be a quickie with potential.

Should be doable. Got a photo of the head?
I need to talk to Les soon anyway, so maybe I can see if he minds me messing with his stuff! :D

Oh, I thought you meant to add them to a Les masterpiece, but you meant do them LIKE what Les did, right? :duh I get it now!

Yeah, if I had the head, no problem. :D

BTW, if you want to discuss this more in open forum, lets move it over to my "Sculptural Creations" thread since it isn't Summer specific, if you don't mind.

Hey guys,

Quick question for you all..... I'm going to be creating the damage in the Battle damaged Cameron shortly. I was going to use the damage as seen in an earlier episode, but I just saw the new damaged look from the episode coming this Friday. I have a couple really bad screen captures of it:

Sorry for the low quality, I had the quality cranked down to save disk space when I was recording the episode. I need to clear out some space!

I was thinking I might do this style damage. Any preference?
