I'm on vacation only an hour away from home so I tried 3 GameStops and all were sold out when I got there. Had 2 in my cart when GameStop first had them online and could never get past the login page. When GameStop's site finally went live again it was too late and I couldn't get one. I do not understand the times these preorders went live online when half the country was dead asleep. I get that Nintendo is calling this a limited edition item they pretty much have a back catalog that lets them print money so why make these items so freaking difficult to order?

I've been using Nowinstock for years. They completely failed me on this release. To this minute I haven't received a single alert and I was set up to receive notifications on all available retailers for pre-order and in stock alerts. I only found out about today's release when I randomly visited IGN.

Is there a specific way for Prime members to set up those text message alerts? I'm on both Nowinstock and Amazon and see no mention of an advantage to Prime members.

So what's the plan for the extras?

Gave one to my older brother

One for my best friends b day

One to another friend

One for me

And two I'm selling to chip away at an Xbox One X

The Prime thing happens on restocked

If the SNES goes back in stock typically only Prime members can checkout

At least that's how Amazon CA did it for Classic NES and Switch

you're whats wrong with collecting. greedy ***k.

And you are a Socialist

Which is far worse

I don't know about collecting, but with something like this there is a lot of other things that have failed the consumer than those picking up extras here and there. For starters it begins with Nintendo. They are notorious for not being able to meet demand. And it's one thing to have that reputation but they went on record that there would be a significant increase in availability for this release. Retailers selling out in seconds doesn't sound like it was significant at all.

Then there is the retailers themselves. How long have they been on the online market and still can't keep their servers and cart systems stable? Didn't they learn from the NES Classic? Why in the hell wouldn't you put a limit to how many an individual could add to their cart? Every single one of these retailers failed in these ways. I could understand 1, 2 or even 3 failing in this way. But ALL OF THEM? Yeah, they knew what they were doing and didn't give two *****s. Reminded me of how little Mondo cares about who is buying their stuff so long as their inventory is sold in an instant.

Lastly bots. Nuff said.

Getting multiples isn't the biggest issue in your case. For all the world knows, you could be the nicest man in the world going to grab a bunch of Mini SNES to give away to poor kids in an orphanage. No, the real issue is that you show up in this thread, amidst comments by people that say they were unable to grab even one, and you decided to post that you're on your way to get your 6th. That's what says a lot about you and the kind of person you are.

And for the record, I have one so I'm not posting this out of envy or anything. Your attitude makes me ponder about putting someone on ignore for the first time on these usually friendly forums. Not that you'll care.

All there will be a good opportunity to get a system on launch and afterwards, you just have to be on top of when and where.

I recommend camping out, I did it for the NES classic, I was there first in line at 5am and got one (the target I was at had 11 copies).

But the hype wasn't as big as it was then, and people did not realize the shortage of the console, so I expect people to begin camping out at midnight this year.

Also, after launch, don't forget to check primenow and I am sure gamestop will do more bundles after launch as well. Pre orders are gone for now yes, but there will be some restocks that sell asap after launch, but the point is there will be restocks.

This is sad because Nintendo could truly produce a abundant amount of these but for whatever reason they choose not to.

Zero ******* given about this nonsense launch. I'll just pick up an original SNES (or borrow one from my cousin) and play games from that.

I really only want a N64 with Goldeneye. Otherwise, if I see one I may grab it, but I'm not going out of my way for a SNES.

Probably only a handful of games worth replaying today (for me) when it comes to the N64. Don't think it would be worth enough to spend 80$ to purchase one. That small handful can just be dl on VC for less.

and all of the Rare games (minus a few) were released on Rare Replay for xb1 already.

Pretty much.

"Man, this sucks! I couldn't get my hands on an SNES Classic, despite making numerous attempts."
"Yeah, me too. : ( "

"Hey guys! I got seven of them! Tee hee! You're all losers and socialists! Weeeeeeeee!"

You may not be trying to come across as an *******, but it sure looks like it. Which, hey...good for you?
