Super7 - Conan the Barbarian (1980s)

Didn't see a thread for these. Pit Fighter Conan will come with both the Atlantean and Father swords. MSRP on each of the first four figures is $45, Q2 2020 ETA on BBTS.

Bodies are awful, it's like they've used the old school 80's sculpts. Faces? - MEH.

I do want that Thulsa although already have the Chronicle 1/4 statue.

So...Why is that the company who has money to acquire the license actually suck at making the figure itself?

I believe it is the Super7 style...

they follow He-Man style because they are into retro styles. if you lookin for life like figure you need to find someone else. Super7 only makes toyish toys but with better quality than standard toys.

Yeah the Andre the Giant figure they're doing looks awful too. Face sculpt isn't even a cartoony Andre, just looks nothing like him.

...after years of criticism, this is the sculpt that wins you over? Looks more like Andre the Giant than their actual Andre the Giant figure.

you must really be confusing me with 90% of HT threads visitors who didn't like (reeeeeally didn't like) a single HT Schwarzenegger head. i strongly disliked only MMS238 and Commando ones, saying all the others are more than OK.
but this one uses his face features that HT never did.

Funny how Chronicle couldn't do a JEJ likeness because it was "too expensive" but these plastic He Man clones can afford it.

Ironically, has Chronicle produced a JEJ portrait, they probably would have sold a fair amount of the statue instead of 100.

I'm happy they didn't. Probably kept the cost down, and I would never display him without his helmet. Also, I'm a sucker for rarity, so only 100 made is ok with me.
Actually, there are 99 now, possibly less, as mine arrived broken beyond repair and I've got a replacement.

I sort of understood the novelty and nostalgia value of the Alien figures, but I really don't get the point of these things.
But hey, if it makes them money and collectors happy, go for it.
