Damn you people. Brings back memories of being a kid and actually playing with toys. I have Steve, the fembot, the capsule and other SM$M stuff somewhere in my garage. I know my Steve with the sleeve is torn. Not because of age, but having to see the "electronics" in the arm over and over again.

As a kid, I had the Steve that came with the H beam. I thought it was the best action figure ever created.

It's definitely the figure that inspired me the most to make 1/6 customs.

Those customs looks great!!!...I to have a custom Steve Austin in 1/6, even with the Supermad Toys one, my good old Steve custom will hold his place of honor in the collection.

Those are great collections, matrix69 and die!

I had the engine block Steve and the H beam Steve when I was a kid. I don't know what happened to the engine block Steve because I just remember ending up with only the H beam Steve and the grip hand broke so he always had masking tape on it. I remember seeing the Biosonic Steve in the store all the time and I would beg my mom to get it for me, but she never did! :( I was particularly desperate to get it because of the broken hand on mine. I also had Maskatron, Oscar Goldman and his office, the mission arms and legs, and Jaimie with the blue pant suit and big red purse. Plus I had the capsule and Jaime's red car. My sister also had the car and Jaime, and I think she had the original Jaime with the blue pants and white top with the red and blue stripe across the front. One of my older cousins had bigfoot, which made me jealous, and my other older cousin had pretty much the entire line! I was SO jealous! My sister still has the red car, and I still have Oscar but it's at my mother's in another state. Everything else was lost to time. :(

One of the first things I bought on Ebay way back in 1998 was a Steve. I have the original (but without the engine) and a boxed H beam Steve which I've been meaning to get out of storage and get out of the box to display. And I got the capsule still in box and without the stickers placed, although thinking about it after the fact, the sticker glue is probably all dried out. I may look into getting repro stickers or else getting another capsule with the stickers already placed.

I'm really looking forward to getting this!

Really enjoying everyone’s fond memories. I just had the original Steve with the engine block and Maskatron, which I absolutely loved due to all the interchangeable parts. They definitely were my favourite toys of the 70s... and then Star Wars arrived...

Mad Old Lu, I'm getting amped up as well! I'm actually thinking about watching the series again. Your post reminded me of other 6M$M memories. I remember having Steve and Bigfoot, I was super happy with those 2. I remember having Bigfoot for many years and one day his arms fell off as had made like a Hot Toys Watchmen bodysuit and deteriorated. I remember my cousin having Maskatron I remember having mixed feelings about Maskatron at the time because he was a cool toy, but he didn't remind me enough of John Saxon from the show.

I just remember Steve fighting Bigfoot was the greatest thing ever to me as a kid. Me and the little girl next door would always talk about the show. I remember even checking out a 6M$M book to do a book report on.

Yes! Same here, Star Wars blew my mind, plus it was such a huge hit that there was plenty of SW stuff to fill the need. Another thing that got me was Robotech. I remember being totally obsessed with Robotech. I guess major difference for me is that Star Wars was everywhere and it was harder to find 6M$M or Macross stuff. It left me wanting more, much like today, I've got more than enough licensed Star Wars figure but I'm dying waiting for this bootleg Steve Austin.

Fantastic customs die:clap

And some wonderful stories guys...has me re-watching some of the earlier episodes again in anticipation for this figures release:)

From their facebook page:

Delay Report!

Please be informed the release of ‘Six Dollar Bionic Man’ has to be delayed from originally planned July to mid August because of power outage in corresponding factory in mainland China.
The factory is working their best for making this figure, you wait is worthwhile for sure!
p.s. you can check the picture, there is a big problem with football, about 2/3 have to be redone again.....
We are very sorry. The expected shipping date is delayed to mid of August, please notice.

It looks like the footballs had the burrs ground down too much. There's also a picture of the boxes which are mostly black. They should have totally done them that bright magenta like the originals!

Supermad is getting me super mad :impatient:

are you Super mad too, Supermad Mad Old Lu? lol

Well, maybe I'm just semi mad, but the thought of this wait being about a football does suck, because that thing was just going directly into a random parts box in the back of my closet for sure.

I really hope this makes it out this month, seriously. I'm moving soon and I really figured this would have arrived at least a month or two before my big move.

totally agree on the magenta box!

:rotfl yeah, totally super mad! :lol

I figure it's got to come this month, because I have 2 other figures coming so of course all three are going to hit my credit card at the same time!

This is sold out at KG Hobby.

At $134.00 shipped, this was a steal.

KG states that only 200 were produced. If that's true, this is the lowest run of any figure I own.

I ordered this as soon as it went up for P.O. and noticed that statement as well - this is probably the most limited editon of /anything/ I own. It’s nice to be in exclusive company for a change (as you point out, assuming the 200 limit is actually true!)
Definitely a bargain, I’d be genuinely surprised if there wasn’t more demand than 200 for this worldwide.

Even the shops that are selling it without the bonus head have it listed as limited to 200.

Is the bonus head a KG Hobby exclusive?

As far as i know the bonus head was an exclusive for those who pre-ordered.

That's what they said.

However, I never preordered their Ghostface and got the two knives from KGHobby and it seems that the preorder gift for their Harley was a lollipop and KGHobby apparently still included it in their figures when it became available.

Moreover, I'm pretty sure that it isn't entirely sold out. Some of the stock must have been bought by KGHobby and the figure will become available again when it is officially in stock. At least, that's what seemed to happen with Harley.
