Superman 1:4 Scale Museum Quality statue

DC Direct's first foray into the PF market is arriving this Wednesday the 15th. How many of you are picking it up? I have it on order and I really hope the quality is close to SSC standards.

This is another piece I really thought about getting, but the whole money/space issue came up. Now, when they do Batman, I'll probably have no choice but to get him.

I can't wait to hear what you think of Supes. And please make sure to post a lot of pics.

It actually looked worse at SDCC, with a leatherlike cape (like the movie?) and the headsculpt hadn't improved. But DCD is known for making drastic changes in the release product.

I've got mine coming from Fireside, I'll keep it no matter what - after all it's Superman!

I got mine coming from Alter Ego Comics for a reasonable $236.00.

sadly a pass for me. very dissapointed in what this 1/4 scale turned out to look like. i usually get everything supes (even the 12" DCD supes...i know, I'm sad), but this just isn't worth it.

i agree. that Reeve Supes is the ultimate...for a movie representation. but ole Supes was around quite awhile before the movies. this is a pretty decent comic version.

Well it was finally supposed to be released today. Did anyone see it or pick it up. Mine's coming from AE so I don't expect to see it till after Christmas.

I got him. I think he's a nice looking statue despite what people say. I mean for a generic Superman he has a great sculpt and his base looks fantastic. And he's massive! 25 lbs!

I only got him because my store allowed me to do a lay away for him and pay him in small weekly increments over several months. Which allowed me to get a lot of other 1/4 Premium Formats along the way. Plus he looks a lot more amazing in person!

I do not agree. If everyone will say nice things all the time, the forum would be a such boring place,

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and allowed to view them. However, I don't post in threads concerning things I don't like. I only comment on things I like. Of course, this is just me. If I know I don't like something I don't bother giving it the time of day.

Unless it deals with my sports teams and players not playing up to their standards. hehe

They're being extremely and, I'd say, unreasonably, hard on it. The pics aren't great, but it appears the sculpt and/or paint are defintely improved over the proto pics. The neckline is too deep, but that could be adjustable. I'm still looking forward to getting it.

Supes looks even worse in those pictrue than in the production pics. The costume looks just horrible and I don't want to mention the headsculpt.
