This bothered me for a second, but just because he's impervious to pain doesn't mean he wouldn't feel that at all or react in surprise by something hitting him in the back of the head.
Yes, maybe it's a reference to George Reeves Superman always dodging when the mobster tosses the gun at him.

The back and forth trunks arguments are so tedious. He's worn them for most of his history. An alien flying around performing miracles in a bright spandex suit and cape, I doubt a pair of red trunks would be what people focus on.

At the same time when he doesn't have them it's not a big deal either. The story is what matters above all else.

Snyder's movies are far more visually appealing than the Nolan trilogy. The later is widely considered a masterpiece in spite of that because Nolan managed to tell a coherent story in a way Snyder couldn't.

I can understand not liking aspects of what he did but to say it's not coherent is objectively false.

You have to admit, Matt Reeves and Gun have the perfect combo going right now with dark Gotham and bright Metropolis.
head no GIF

God forbid we give him tough choices or do we just want him to smile that his mother has been kidnapped?
There's tough choices and there's 'bad guys always win'.

Superman, the beacon of hope, the man who, naively, sees the best in people, the man who gives second chances if you truly deserve it thinks that good will always lose in the end and everyone goes bad.

People **** all over the ST because Luke Skywalker, the guy who redeemed Darth Vader, thought killing his nephew was the only way and here you have Superman, thinking there's no hope for anyone, we all go bad.

GFTOH! :lol

Yes but why is it so bad that he's grows into being that way rather than it just being a given?
Considering the situation and to have him think it might be impossible is a way to stretch him.

He literally saves Lex from Doomsday 15 minutes later.

He's a grown ass man. You telling me he hasn't figured his principles out by then? I'm all for stretching him, but the dude just lost hope almost immediately. :lol

So he's not even consistent? "No one stays good"...a few moments later...Stays good. JFC!

lol that’s what I’m saying. I’m not a Superman fan and I’m just like that’s not something he would say. Imagine if Batman said “joker I will heal you with the power of love and happiness”

Or Spider-Man “responsibility? **** responsibility”

I would much prefer if the new Superman without the weird fringing and warmer colors....
See after photo...

By the way, the whole movie has the same "Superman Returns" vibe...
