I wonder if the angry crowd and the guy throwing a can at Superman's head could be due to Supes taking a side in an overseas conflict (as we potentially see in the scene with the kid calling for his help), because stuff like that could be extremely interesting and fertile ground to explore - but also treacherous, obviously hah. Or maybe more 'safely' for the film, perhaps Supes may've flown somewhere to help other people and in the meantime just as he was doing so, some attack or tragedy befell Metropolis and he wasn't there for them in that moment. Tackling something like that could be really cool IMO, the sort of dilemma that can create stakes and show how otherwise almost-all-powerful character is still relatable

Interesting or it could be as simple as Krypto causing problems and be gets blamed for whatever damage a superdog has done. Gunn did say he seems to be a problematic dog. But I do like your theory better.

While MOS is my fav movie and Henry always gonna be my fav Superman, I want this movie to be good as I love Superman. Trailer looks fine?! Too chaotic imo and aesthetically it’s not my cup of tea. Looks like it was shot with an iPhone, there isn’t a single artistically impressive shot. Love or hate Snyder we can all agree that every frame in MOS,BvS,JL look as a renaissance painting. I guess casual moviegoers don’t care about such stuff, so I think general audience gonna enjoy this movie. While Williams theme is iconic nothing can top Zimmer score for me and I think David deserved his own theme.
Anyway I absolutely hate the suit, while I had a hope they’d fix it in post, seems they didn’t do anything. Baggy, rubbery and oversized.

P.S. Godzilla?
That big fire breathing lizard thing.

My biggest issue with both Zach Snyder and what james gun is adapting the comic. David Goyer who did man of steel i though did a good job as he did with thr nolan Batman begins movie . The rest of the dc movies were lacking this element so can anyone tell me what we are building up to in this movie , I am assuming braniac since they will have super girl and they can have a similar story arch to what the most recent cartoon has .

It would never happen. A man who can fly would always amaze. A guy who could knock you to the moon would always intimidate. No one has the balls to throw a can at Superman's head.

Unless he lost his powers. Then the 'big men' show up.

Krypto left a steamy, glowing, kryptonite pyramid in front of their stoop, and Superman didn't clean it up.

Seriously who the hell thought this cosplay outfit was good enough for a film of this magnitude

Right?! And not only thought it was good enough, but are evidently so proud of it that they’re focusing on it, in this bit of marketing.

The bad thing is, even if the movie ends up being quite good, we’re stuck with that suit for at least this first movie and there’s absolutely nothing that can be done about it at this point. Ugh.

Yeeeah. I can understand Gunn wanting something radically different to set it apart from the Snyderverse... but I still would have expected that he'd want Superman to look like a real, larger than life superhero.

Unless he thought the key to making him more relatable was to not have him in a skin tight muscle suit.

Or maybe he just got really attached to the outfits in his last Guardians movie...

It's easily one of the worst Superman costumes ever, but the trailer is great, and I have little doubts that the new guy will be the best Superman since Christopher Reeve.

Cavill never sold me as Superman and his Clark Kent was forgettable. There's something about him that's just not wholesome, which is why he probably be best suited for villains and anti-hero roles.

New guy has that small town good guy energy and look to him. He'll be great. Let's hope the film is good and they make a sequel with a GREAT costume.

Again a really bizarre complaint.

As is the case with most who crap on Snyder's DC films. Seldom does it seem like they grasp the material. And that's not a comment on the depth of those films. It's just how shallow audiences are in general, and particularly in this demographic. You only have to listen to them talk.

But otherwise, it's ok to dislike those films. They certainly have their flaws. I only take issue with the rationale.
