This movie will be... cute.

If you loved Barbie and Wicked, you'll love Superman.

They're not making this movie for The Dark Knight crowd.
And they don't need to. Apart from Begins they are not really good Batman films anyway. Dark Knight is a good movie but not a good Batman cinema. Rises...the less we talk about it the better. Poor Bale is a horrible Batman but his Bruce is good.

Back in 2008 I was in the "What's all the fuss about Iron Man is a way better film" crowd.

I hated the dark knight rises. And if you sit down and think about it he was Batman for two years and quit cause his gf died? Well wait thst wasn’t his gf cause he never dated her to begin with he just liked her. Then returned and got his ass beat by the smallest version of bane ever 😂

He didn't quit being Batman because Rachel died.

Also t800 I know you think I hate Snyder but I thought affleck Batman was a huge step up from bale Batman in every conceivable Way. Even tho I didn’t like how it was portrayed. Affleck Batman would have destroyed bane in like 7 and probably would have never let gotham get as bad as it did.

I love the Nolan movies. First two but Nolan’s Batman was very restrained imo. His best suit was the the first ever suit he had 😂

I feel like people have an unfair bias against Big Blue sometimes. Superman is fun, but can also be serious and dramatic. I feel like more people would be familiar with his rouges gallery if Hollywood didn't try to make every movie about Supes include Lex as the big bad instead of operating behind the scenes and being the reason Supes is facing seemingly insurmountable odds against an actual BIG bad. IMO Superman is just as inspiring as Spidey if not more so sometimes and can be just as downtrodden and brutal as Batman. All dependent on the writer of course.

"Superman is what I can do, Clark is who I am." Good quote from the Lois & Clark TV show. He's a normal guy at heart, but just happens to also be a Paul Bunyan like figure in ability lol.

Superman as told by humans is unrealistic.

Real Superman would enslave humans in a heartbeat.
That's a big part of what makes superman interesting to me. The key to who he is was how he was raised in Smallville by the Kents. The Red Son story suggests an alternate path. All of us are a product of our upbringing, for good or ill. If you are raised the right way and have love and support, then the chances are that even with great power you will be a good person and do the right things. When people are raised to be cynical and to see the world as a place to exploit or be exploited then they turn out like luthor or Vladimir putin.

I think over these last few decades we just kinda forgot what he stood for and viewed him as someone who will turn on everyone. But it’s not our fault it’s WB for pushing it so hard
