Am I the only one really disappointed by the qc on these? There is no way I would accept these issues on mine.

:exactly::goodpost: SS designs amazing stuff and this sculpt is incredible but if it were me, I would send it back. I am definitely buying one of these busts but ONLY if the next batch prove to be free of flaws. He's an incredible piece but c'mon, for $680 plus duties and taxes and delivery there is NO WAY I would accept a flawed paint job. Those sloppy paint lines and herpes lip and spots are inexcusable at this price. It's not like this is a small, hard-to-paint item. These issues have made me pause on ordering this bust until SS gets it together like they eventually did with the problems on the Batman bust. Why do they still skrimp on QC? When I order mine, he will get returned to SS unless/until I get a flawless one. Didn't one of our members have to order three Batman busts until he got one that was good enough to keep? :thud:

I'm never one to ***** about QC - I've owned 10+ PFs with minor issue after minor issue, but come on - this is not an overly complex sculpt/paint app - those liver spots are not acceptable on a $700 piece.

I agree, MINOR paint flaws on hand painted items are acceptable. This bust and it QC issues however, are totally unacceptable. He's $700, like WTH? Why is SS so lazy with QC? It's so hit or miss. I hope you guys finally get one with a good paint job.

What I don't get is how an obviously SYSTEMIC QC issue got through like the spots. It is obvious that somewhere along the process the workers did something to ALL of these pieces that caused thos spots. Whether it is a tool they used or a rack that these were put into while they dried.... Or the packing materials/method that they used somewhere along the way. It is just odd to me it hasn't been caught and changed.

great,pretty cool :clap

yeah, the spots are really bewildering...and hopefully not a systemic issue. Otherwise, bats will be on his own in my collection.

OK gentlemen (and ladies) don't say I never did nothin' for ya's...

The spots can be quite easily and permanently removed with a soft, pink pencil eraser! I tried it and mine are now completely gone, have not returned and leaves the paint underneath undamaged. Try it and you will be amazed!

I can't promise you of course, the same results I got but I don't see why it would be any different.

I still have that black paint on the ear to attend to, the eraser did not fully remove that. But I have accepted a partial refund from SS that will cover that nuisance.

In the end the eyes could be a little closer together, but I am now more than satisfied, this thing is AMAZING!!!!!!!

Eraser FTW! :hi5:

I hate to say it but I'm not really impressed with this. The skin, eye color, hair color are all left wanting especially compared to what was at Comic-Con. Realistically there is going to be a huge difference compared to a mass produced version from something done on a prototype but for me the black coloring of the hair is so flat it really is a bit jarring and there is a yellowing of both the skin and the eyes that is throwing me.

I'd love to see someone repaint and really make it shine but out of the box I'm really disappointed in it. Congrats to those who love it but I don't think I'll be keeping my order on this one, it's just not up to par for the money IMHO.
