I'm looking into getting one of these 12" figures but I'm having a hard time choosing based on pics alone. can I get some opinions from owners or people who have held these/seen them personally? thanks!

I've had both and both are good but nobody can make the decision for you.

my winner? HT by a hair.(if you want the better HS go with medicom,if you want a better body go with HT cause medicom used the big muscle body for this one(unless you don't mind your SR BIG)Then again i like medicoms cape better both have their pros and cons, again nobody can really tell you you gotta make up your mind.I'd say you can't lose with either but i'd go with HT by a tad.

(I've had both and both are good don't let anyone tell ya different..so no matter what you choose you can't really go wrong)

Allow me to introduce you to a very long thread that resulted when I asked the same question nearly a year ago:

I think the overall consensus has been Hot Toys, with a preference for the head that came with Clark Kent. Medicom has its advocates as well, chiefly for the headsculpt (the body is an odd one and of course Medicom is a smaller scale). But a number of people think this is Hot Toys' best to date.

My own decision: Hot Toys. One of the most interesting figures I own, and no regrets whatever.

Like Vice I have owned both. I personally like the HT version better than the Medicom version. The cape on the HT is better, the HS has more of Routh in it than the Medicom version. But as Vice said it is really up to you.

See how he likes the HT cape better than i do? It's all down to the person. But again ya can't really go wrong like i said with either cause both don't suck.

(you're gonna get a lot of ppl that come in here and own just one version of the figure and say that is the one to own.well you asked for ppl that owned or had both of em)If it comes down to if you can't decide flip a coin.(but i still think HT comes out a tad better by a bit...but then again you might not)

I'd like to echo pretty much everyone else's sentiments:

Hot Toys has the better costume and body
Medicom has the better headsculpt, cape and boots

just because he read my mind.

I went with HT.the body on medicom looks like he sucking in air and
holding it in.

Hot Toys Supes is by far the best to me. Also, if you plan on getting a Clark fig to go with your Supes the HT CK is simply an awesome figure, head and shoulders above Medicom's CK.

Like what everone said. It's pretty much HT by a Hair. I think you'll find HT version alil more satisfying.

Medicom
Headsculpt
Cape
shorts

Hot Toys
Body
Boots
Suit without the medicom turtle neck

I recommend the HT version.

I've sold my medicom supes while retaining his Head and Cape. The reason? I want to make the ultimate Supes when I buy the HT version to customise. But what am I going to do with the itsy bitsy red bikini:confused: :D

I have both and I'll disagree and say Hot Toys a huge, huge margin. The only advantage of the Medicom is that you can point the toes in the boots. Everything else on the Hot Toys is superior including the head sculpt.

Ahhh, this old debate! :lol

I only have the HT version, and it's one of my overall favorite 12" figures. Period.

Just judging on the pics I've seen, Medi Supes had tiny hands and a huge chest. It really threw it for me.

Agree 100%

I think that top picture seals the deal. Thanks a lot guys for the information provided!
