Wow, that is pretty badass. The only thing I'm not sure about is the gigantic Superman symbol. Everything else was amazing.

Great scene and I think it helps tie in and justify his creepy obsession with his son, as well as gives a nice foreshadowing to Lex's island. I would have preferred they kept this scene in, and cut most of Lex's stuff. It was all silly and unnecessary. As far as Lex's plan, just forgo the pretense that it was a real estate scam and just say he wanted revenge on Supes and that's it.

Meh, kinda lame. Nothing really happened. He flies through some old rocks and sees nothing except a gignantic S.
Would've expected more from Brian Singer and an idea as acool as the Return to Krypton.

I can certainly see why they deleted it.

That scene makes sense, because when I saw the movie I always wondered why his ass stumbled out from the crash landing to Earth, when as a kid he lifted a truck with no problem. Now I know he was weakened by the Kryptonite.

Why would he still be weakened from Kryptonite? The journey from Krypton to Earth takes 2.5 years. Its effects seem to go away almost instantly when the Kryptonite is removed.
