****ity **** ****...****. "Baby" set a high bar, but, sweet lord almighty...damn. Daaaaaamn, damn, damn...damn.

There was a part of me that really just wanted to leave it at that, because I think those words could succinctly express how I feel, but, nope, can't do it.

This episode doesn't even feel real to me; it's like an old school Supernatural fan's wet dream. I'm dead serious about that; the execution of everything was just phenomenal, and it's everything I could possibly want.

First and foremost, Rowena. "Ding, Dong, the ***** is dead, the ***** is dead, the ***** is deaaaaaaad." That right there would be enough to win me over, but then you tack on the fact that the whole thing is like a critique of every annoying trope that Supernatural has consistently perpetuated over the past 5-6 years by way of Charles Dickens (by way of...err, Satan), and...uuuuuuuuugggggghhhhh (those were good groans).

Speaking of Satan, who rules? The devil does (as someone whose formative years consisted of going to Church 4 times a week with his grandparents, those are words I never thought I'd hear myself say), but, honestly, Mark Pellegrino's Lucifer kicks all kinds of ass. Plus, he had all of the best lines. I loved the little dig (though, considering they're both from WBTV, I'd say it's more of an advertisement) at Lucifer.

"Say you gank her; what, then?"

"I don't know. Move to LA? Solve crimes?"

...and, as someone who found Adam really annoying (I know he's got his fangirls, but that dude was the Supernatural equivalent of Scrappy Doo), that status update on Adam/Michael filled me with joy.

"And Michael...well, Prison life hasn't been good to him. These days, he's mostly sitting in a corner singing show tunes...and touching himself."

I genuinely lost it, at that moment, and lest we forget the Devil's amazing soundtrack for the moment.

Plus, I'm really happy for Misha Collins. I like Castiel a lot (definitely not as much as some fans :lol), but it must get really tiring playing a sad sap all the time, so, seeing that he now gets to channel their amazing version of The Devil, it ought to be quite refreshing.

So typical
Lucifer asked Rowena if any other witches know the spell or something then neck twist/snap. Really that phrase and kill was done countless times before

Wow. Wow. Wow.....

I've come back from my eternal slumber to post my thoughts!!!! WHAT AN EPISODE!!?!?

We've got Lucifer AND the Darkness????

The hype. THE HYPE!!!!!

So I'm assuming (unless I missed something) that Lucifer in the Cas vessel can only be temporary? To our knowledge, Sam should be the long term solution for Lucifer, no? I'm still blindsided. Didn't see that coming.

Yeah, I'm not entirely sure how that's going to work. Then again, where it once required an angel of the lord to raise you from perdition, now, you only need to sing "Camptown Racers" to get down below, so, who knows how consistent the logic will be. :lol

:lol I liked that scene with Dean and the 'password'.

Did you check out last nights?!?! Another good one.

I really liked the banshee idea. It was simple, but oddly refreshing. I felt like this is something we would have gotten in S1-5. I'll miss Pellegrino though. I like this concept with "Lustiel/Casifer", but I'll miss Pellegrino.

Yeah, I liked last night's. I knew she was a hunter from the word go. Cool to see that they're still introducing new potential allies. Then, next week, good ol' Sherrif Jody Mills!:rock

Good ep. I have always referred 'monster of the week' eps. Not really into the arcs that much. I do like them bringing back recurring characters like the sheriff.

Man, it's been a while. I haven't seen Episodes 7-9; but I'm kind of liking where this is going.

Might be a bit weird, but I'm digging this idea of Dean with Amara. First of all, she's smoking hot!

Glad Rowena has been dead for a while, but this Castiel being Lucifer, just kind of bores me.

Last episode was great, but seemed like a waste just to find out that Castiel gave into Lucifer. They could have gone a better route IMO. I also hope this picks up a bit more, I'd prefer more recurring characters and monsters like the latest Mills episode.

This episode was a bit meh. I do like the return of Hellhounds. As for the general story, it was okay. Only redeeming quality in this entire thing was Dean being a total fanboy during the match and that entire ring montage had me ******** myself LMFAO! :lol

And Sam with his crush was also funny. The whole Lucifer/Castiel and Crowley thing is just becoming a bore. Especially with the Rod being a one and done. Kind of seems stupid to have this God related artifacts and seems that even the biblical recipient hadn't even used it or whatever. I'm doubtful these things would only cause destruction.

Also needed more Amara IMO. It's before a big break, it'd be nice to get something going on.

I'm afraid the season will end with a quick wrap up of the Darkness that will ultimately be a let down. Probably along the lines of "Filler episodes--finally find something that works against the Darkness--it doesn't work--God shows up and Boom! Darkness taken care of." I really wish they'd stop with the "yet another Apocalypse threat" and get back to the smaller episodes that make the series great. The last couple episodes would have been fine if the Amara threat wasn't looming over the show.

I like the Amara/Darkness thing, IF this would lead to my wishes of Dean and Sam being sent to Heaven and to Hell based on a decision they make. Or at least have them guns blazing.

I feel with the drag some of these episodes have done, I feel my standards of seeing the boys die (again) have dropped significantly.

Maybe toss in some episodes with other CW stars. I think the episode Baby, was the best thing to have happened since Season 6.

Maybe it's because of the break that I forgot to chime in here, but can we all just take a minute to talk about how great it was to have Bobby and Rufus back, and in a genuinely awesome episode, at that? This week was a pretty good episode, as well. Sad to see the brothers falling into their same old habits, though.

Definitely! These last 2 were pretty great! Though the time jump was really unnecessary with the werewolf episode. They built up this nest only to have a dying Sam literally take em out like nothing.

Jared had some great acting, especially the sequence of getting shot.

Bobby and Rufus was great! Loved that episode. But returning back to what I said prior, I can now agree with Zod. This whole thing of Darkness looming even the fillers seems like a bore. They are renewed for Season 12, let's see how all this happens. Wish we got Jeffrey Dean Morgan in an episode again.

Soooooooooo, honest question: WHY THE **** IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT THIS WEEK'S EPISODE!?!?!

yeah that episode was long overdue , and that ending was perfect, that character returning and being who we where lent to believe way back when he left was just perfect
