I think it's the fact that she made no secret of being against Russell, and yet still managed to make it to the finals pretty much solo that won her some points with the jury.
 
I like Survivor and will continue watching it. I just get pissed off at it to many times. Much to often in my opinion the wrong person wins it. Sandra has won it twice when I don't think she should have won at all. When I think of surviving, I think of being able to live and dominate in those conditions. When someone like Sandra wins it's only because she flew under everyones radar. I would have rather Russel won but in my opinion Parvatti deserved it more than Sandra.

Another thing I can't stand is the holier than thou attitude the jury always has. They lie and cheat as bad as Russel has but when they're on the jury they bust on him for the game he played. Please, they're only pissed because he outplayed them. Rupert is a whiny _____. He got indignant the first time he played after he got voted off. Hell last night he even admitted screwing people over at the live after show. Can't believe he had the gall to bust on Russel like he did.

I agree to a point...but people like Russell have to understand that the game was designed this way. The people who get eliminated vote for the winner. Same format for 20 seasons now.

Russell thinks he's going to be one of the most cut throat, offensive, and directly threatening players in history and he's going reinvent the way the jury votes in the process? :slap What a moron.

I think the jury could be swayed to acknowledge a player like Russell, but they have to be under the impression that the player reckognizes everyone's value and be led to believe that the player targeted them for justifiable reasons. Russell doesn't even bother. He could have played almost the exact same way, but acted more humbly instead of like a ____ and he might have won.

I take exception to the belief that Russell would out live Sandra if this was real life. In real life, he would be among the first people cast out of a society and made to survive on his own and would probably be killed by a tiger or something. Sandra would have maintained protection by her peers and would live as part of the community.
 
Sandra won because she was the lesser of three evils. Russell played the game as he always does foolishly and out in the open expecting to be rewarded for it, Parvati tied her horse to Russell's wagon and while that kept her alive it made her just as hated. Sandra literally was the ones that the jury hated less you knew that before any Q&A.

The big surprise for next season is that Russell and Parvati will be back and it makes me sick. They will actually be a schoolyard pick where Parv picks her team and Russell picks his.

I was thinking something similar would be interesting with the caveat that neither of the captains are eligible to win. They would simply be the captains. Like UFC's reality show
 
Ugh. I hope that isn't true...honestly it loses its charm if it's overdone. Although it should be interesting if a fresh face new cast would have the smarts to make their moves early.
