Okay, I have to admit I wasn't following this too closely...but Legolas over Leia?????!!! What are you guys thinking?!

In USC Lucas honed his gift for editing and seeing his vision on the screen. He's basiclly an idea man and a visionary but he needs someone to mold his vision onto paper and finally onto the screen. It's always best when we see on screen Story by George Lucas...Screenplay by (someone like Kasdan)....and Directed by (someone like Spielberg/Jackson).
i agree with Dave, and i think the polls were rigged.Darklord Dave said:Okay, I have to admit I wasn't following this too closely...but Legolas over Leia?????!!! What are you guys thinking?!

He really should have had someone else direct the prequels....
Gimli beating Chewie is the big head scratcher for me.Darklord Dave said:Okay, I have to admit I wasn't following this too closely...but Legolas over Leia?????!!! What are you guys thinking?!
jlcmsu said:Yup, which like I said is why I think so many feel the OT is stronger than the PT. Lucas let other guys do the movies where as he did the PT himself.
Thanks again Tom! This was so much fun!!
galactiboy said:Although A New Hope still kicks major ass! I think in some ways Lucas' head got a bit too big and he never questioned what he was doing. I think one viewing of any of the PT would lead one to some major editing decisions

Darklord Dave said:I've said it many times, Lucas is fantastic producer and a genius, he changed the way movies are made and the way we watch them. His significance in the history of cinema cannot be questioned.
But he's a crap writer and just a so-so director.
PJ on the other hand, knows how to delegate and appears to be great at all 3 jobs - producer, writer, director.
