I have been thinking about getting this guy for some time and I finally went ahead. I wasn't crazy about the head when I first saw it but I got a good deal on Ebay and so I went ahead. When I got I was much happier with him then I thought I would be but I didnt like the thinness of the body and so I decided to do a body swap. I was affraid that a normal TrueType would be too big so I used the slim version. I had to take the darts out of the trousers to get it all to work but they were flat front pants on the real costume and the belt covers everything up anyway. It was just a little change but in made a huge difference in my eyes. I had to cut the arms down because he became ape like when I put the hands on. The shoes are from Mech Test figure but that I weathered a bit but I will probably go back to the originals as soon as I get some feet. I thought I was done becuase though the head paint job was weak, it worked ok, but then I started messing around a bit and finally ended up repainting it. It really finished the figure I think.

Nice!
Thanks Dev.
Wouldn't be Sweeney without the chair so I had to start it. I found a copy of the drafting from the film that I can build from.

It wont be a working model but Im going to get as much detail as I can.

This project has a special place in my heart because before the movie came out, Sweeney Todd was my thesis project for graduate school where I designed the sets, lights, and costumes. Ive also built a chair and two different sets of razors for the stage productions over years. Should be fun. Im going to try and mold and cast it as I go along just in case anyone would want to buy one when Im done.

Hmmm...just my honest opinion, I like the original body better. The swapped version looks bulkier and in the movie, he looked really slim for being in prison for a long time. I do agree the original paint was weak, it bugged the crap out of me for a long time so I ended up painting mine also.
It is indeed a great sculpt and nice figure from Medicom.
Here's mine.
