Re: Hollywood Treasure

I caught the show last night also. Awesome stuff but it's all priced out of my league. I'll just have to stick to my HT collecting.

Re: Hollywood Treasure

yea, but its cool to see whats out there, and how ppl are willing to pay 100's of thousands of dollars just for a hat :lol. If you are spending that kind of dough on one hat, i just have to shake my head, too many ppl literally have money growing on trees.

Re: Hollywood Treasure

I love this show-that may be my perfect job. I noticed Bobby's work right away.

Re: Hollywood Treasure

Just watch the first episode. Very cool show. Bobby C. does some awesome work and has an awesome collection. Will have to watch the other episodes now. I am hooked. :)

Tell me about it. That's an awesome job to have, being around all those awesome collectibles. To me I wouldn't even consider that a job but a pleasurable hobby.

Re: Hollywood Treasure

i wish they had this show when all of Stan Winstons collection got liquidated

Does anyone watch this?
I just caught a glimpse of an episode and the idea is the people find movie props and sell them at auction.
They go to Stan Winston's children in a few episodes to help the school they founded in memory of Stan.
In this clip they have a few auctions but look at the 3:50 mark.
Is that a Sideshow Mark II bust? Looks like it to me...

Saw it for the first time yesterday, actually.

The guy had Rudy's Notre Dame helmet (not for sale, refurbished for Sean Astin). Dorothy's original Ruby Slippers (sold for $2M). The Riddler's hat and cane from Batman Forever (sold for about $18K).

Seems like a pretty cool show. Kinda like Pawn Stars, but with some really legit movie memorabilia.

Yup, it's a great and legit show. They do lots of legwork to authenticate items before they go to auction.

Haven't missed an episode in two years. They've sold pretty much anything cool related to pop culture.

The first episode I saw a couple years ago was pretty cool, some guy had a ____ load of batman stuff and even a working Forever batmobile.

The camera that filmed STAR WARS went up for auction on Tuesdays episode.
It went for over $100,000.00
It must be nice to have that much cash.
I wonder who bought it.
Maybe George bought it LOL!
