Ok, check these pics of the batteries out.

If I put in the Duracell or the Panasonic, it won't light up without extra metal contact between the battery nose and the battery contact plate, positive end.

When I put in the GP Alkaline, batteries which ship with the Terminator bust and many other SS light ups, it works. Why?

The GP Alkaline has a deeper dig into the contact because the nose is recessed further out, just check the pics. The difference is about a 1 - 2 mm only, but just enough that over time, some of the contact plates in the base get bent back. When you go to replace the batteries, with some say like the Duracell which has much less recessed nose, then it cannot make contact!

SS needs to see this and fix the plates in the future so that the plates are put higher, or they need to ship them with less recessed batteries which do not bend the plates. They need to use a stronger plate, or reinforce it from underneath.

Solidsnake, thanks you are the one who got me thinking of this when you said it did not work when you replaced the batteries. As soon as you said that I immediately thought the positive nose contact on the batteries had a deeper depth, and that the ones SS uses are deep enough to bend the plate. They need to use a stronger plate, or reinforce it from underneath.
