I'd love to get the royal guard, but being an exclusive ruined it for me. I only paid in the $50 -$60 range for each of the others which include both Vader's, Fett, and Stormtrooper so I can't justify to myself to spend $90 on this guy..... I hope I can find him cheap one day, but I doubt it.

Alright, so it arrived today. Without having an original to compare it with. So take this for what it is...





Straight out of the box I got this:


But, with joints clicked back in, all is good.


Pretty happy with it. Without endorsing the buying of bootlegs...I may have to pick up a couple more.

The paint looks a little off I think...but a pretty close replica. That box and how it is packaged looks exactly the same.

I am very curious to see the real and bootleg compared side to side.

Anyone know if they are "same factory" type bootlegs, where they skimp on just certain qc type tolerances and cheaper materials or
Are they remolded copied type bootlegs?

It looks like a recast. Some of the finer detail seems to have been lost.

I got my $30 Vader 2.0 from eBay. While the plastic seems to be the same I can say that the paint apps seem a lot more sloppy than my bandai storm trooper. Also the figure itself seems to be a lot looser than my stormy that was really tight.

I strongly suspect these are made at the regular factory but are rejected due to QC issues and then sold. Perhaps they even purposefully make bad ones to get rejected and sold after.

I guess sum it up as in, would you pay $60 for what you got and feel satisfied? I only ask because some of thes bootlegs are great, while much just suck. If you're happy, then that speaks volumes.
I only throw out the $60 mark becaus it's an inbetween of what the real, and what the fake cost.

I paid $45 AU for it, and i'm totally satisfied with my purchase. It was a figure I wanted, just not $100AU+ wanted.

Now awaiting the Ronin Boba Fett...

I agree! I've done a u-turn with this line, i love the design & looks of the characters, but i'm only keeping my V1 Vader & two Stormtroopers. I sold my Ronin Fett as i felt it didn't fit in with the others.
The fakes look good though...certainly more cost effective way to army build.

I've only see bootlegs on ebay for $25 or so. Still a good price. Curious about detail comparison between real and bootleg though
