Tape on the box of Hot Toys figure

Hi, I'm new to anything like this. I'm not sure if anyone has asked about this subject before. I have a Hot Toys MMS Harvey Dent/Two Face and the tape on the packaging lost its adhesiveness and came off. Has this happened to anyone before? I'm a collector and I don't open my figures.

How would you know if the tape fell off if you don't open your figures?

Unfortunately its because of the climate youre storing it in (humid/sunlight) it also really devalues the figure as most people in the market would want the tape to be in tact, sorry to hear about that

Hey bud. Jokes aside, that figure was issued awhile back so it could be very likely that the tape has lost its tacky quality. Apart from removing the figure, you can look at the tape itself and can kind of tell if it was 'picked' at. I suggest you just open figure and enjoy it. If you have any concerns with it, I am sure you can post pics and people can tell you if anything is 'off'. Best of luck.

I don't think this would impact on resale value, if that's what you are worried about. Off topic - How do you display them?

They look great in their Brown shipping boxes.

But by having checked the tape on the box, i would have assumed you have opened up the brown shipping boxes.

The tapes on the boxes are easy to replace, but the tapes on the brown shippers on the other hand are impossible to remove without tearing the box texture, and putting new tape on it wouldn't make it look unopened.

So if you already cut opened the brown shipper box, the value of your item has already lost quite some value. Seriously, shipper box are rarer than the toy box itself.
