Premium Format Tarkin PF

Got this yesterday on sale and really like it. I think Tarkin is not quite gaunt enough and too short in the neck area, but it's definitely a great OT piece. I was critical of the value of this but seeing it now, and the size of the droid I take it back.

I got him here in Australia for just under US retail delivered, since he costs $80 to ship here from SS I saved just over that. RRP here is $450 The quest to use my $50 voucher continues!

Hey guys just got a Tarkin today with the interrogator droid this has to be one of the best human PFs that SS has done, I have a problem, I can't get him I to the base the hole halway down has not been smoothed out, any suggestions what to do.

My Tarkin also had a small problem firmly fitting into the base. After wiggling the foot just tiny amounts, something clicked and he fit. Not sure if it's the same thing, but worth a try. Seems SS is making these things fit super tight these days.

Silly if they do that to avoid accidents if the accidents instead pop up because of people struggling with inserting the statue into the base!

Well after much trepidation I managed to get rid of most of the excess and very tightly wiggled it in, getting it out might be a different issue however, ill try and get some photos up but that interrogator droid is awesome I can't believe that it wasn't an exclusive, I hope future PFs can match up to this.

You could try a needle file to widen the peg hole. They are cheap on ebay

Me neither. I've been keeping my eye out for Tarkin and honestly thought that the droid was only for the exclusive. If only I can find one for just a teeny weeny bit cheaper.

Did he really wear "stop, hammer-time" pants in the movie? That was the only think that kept me from getting this. That last pic above is shot at a great angle to avoid the look of the parachute pants. The face looks great.

I love this statue. The likeness is dead on and the pose is so Tarkin. The Droid makes this a must buy. Such a great companion piece, looks great with the ANH Leia as well.

Just read all 38 pages of this thread, and sheesh. Took twice as long thanks to jkno complaining about how he only liked the droid, any time somebody else said they liked the piece as a whole. Looking to pick this up if I can find it for a fair price (near what it retailed at.)
