I hope this does resemble Cushing more because this is one of my most anticipated pieces. Once I heard about it I almost fell over. I will most likely get this piece no matter what but really hope in the end it looks more like Cushing.

I'm still not sure if I will get this or not, going to have to wait for a few more pics. Now I do hope they have an Admiral Thrawn PF coming eventually. The thrawn trilogy were the first star wars books I read and it's what got me hooked on the extended universe.

I think he looks great. Similar to Palpatine, I think lighting makes a difference. I don't collect PFs, so he has no place in my collection. I would jump on a 1:6 Tarkin in a heartbeat, though.

Stop! Hammer time!

When the new Lara Croft PF went up for $350, I pre-ordered thinking the base justified the price increase. But this just doesn't seem to have the same substance for the price. The droid is killer and maybe that's why it's more expensive. Really on the fence on this one... no exclusive so probably just pick it up latter from a retailer if I decide to at all.

If the interrogator droid was an exclusive, I would have jumped all over this pre-order. I'll just pick it up from a retailer with a 10% discount. It looks great to me though, and I feel like the price is pretty well justified. I figure the Tarkin alone would go for 300 these days, and the droid is like another separate figure. Can you imagine how many people would buy the droid if it were sold separately at $50 a piece.

this actually looks very nice sculpt/paint wise, but for a c-list character it's not worth $350 so a pass for me.

I really want the droid though :(

I'm disappointed that there isn't an EX. I like it and will most likely be getting this one. The droid is killer and definitely a bonus.

I actually really prefer the more minor characters, to me they give a lot of room for imagination, whereas the main characters, especially the heroes are sort of locked in stone. What would Tarkin do for a Klondike bar? I'm not even sure I want to know.

I wouldn't really consider Tarkin to be a C list character. His role in SW is so much more than what the movie depicts. He is the reason for the plot of the whole OT with the design of the Death Star. Also Admiral Akbar wouldn't have been if he wasn't Tarkins slave. There is so much more to his character that a lot of people don't know because they don't read the books. Tarkin I think plays a pivotal role in the SW universe IMO.

Yes of course agree he is important in the star war universe if you get down to the details and events, not just a jawa #23 , but i was talking from the public perception viewpoint he was a minor character in the movie and not well recognized, also looking like an average grandpa human didnt help. Star wars' core is its movies not books like lotr.

If this was $300 with droid as exclusive, i might consider it. As it is now, easy pass and will pick it up later at discount if i cant get the droid.

Very similar to the Red Skull PF...boots, pants, cut of the...um...tunic. Oh, except with a less detailed headsculpt. And less detailed base. And less detailed costume detailing.

So, uh, yeah. Pass.
