Me and my girlfriend just did a 360 in 100 km/h on the highway, smashed into a Audi A6 and ended up in the side rail.

Both cars were pretty smashed up, but no one was injured expect my girlfriend got a minor bruise from the side airbag.

Volvo V70 against a Audi A6, the Volvo came out with much less damage...

well don't know it it's for the cars sake, but either way at least you're both in good condition since it definately could've been much worse.
especially at 100+

I drive a 1992 Volvo 940. It wont impress any girls, but its built like a fricken' tank and turns on a dime. Glad to hear you and your GF were not severly injured.

Yeah, offcourse that's most important. I was just so impressed by the build quality of the car. The much more expensive Audi didnt have a chance against the Volvo. Still the driver in that car didnt experience any injures, so the her car also did its job.

The accident was triggered by 2 degrees plus and rain and shortly thereafter -2. The road was like a freaking skating rink. If my car had some more years on it would have been back wheel driven, which would have made it easier to compensate when i loose the grip.

ps. i also echo the sentiments expressed in this thread, the safety of volvo's is one of their selling points
