anyone else have any comments about the 501st legion clones I made in RC?

Oh yeah, and I'm looking for another Karen Traviss Republic Commando book to read, anyone have any suggestions? Which one do you guys think is the best?

That was the epilogue for the whole RC series. Forget what you read and start at the beginning.

Did the Phase 2 501st even have pauldrons? They didn't show any during ROTS and that seems to be the helmet you're going with.

I think by the time of ROTS, they were done with the pauldrons guys. But do what you think looks best. Personally, I always thought the Phase I helmet looked best with them.

I think so too. But the Phase II looks more like a stormie and therefore more plausibly the helmet of "the bad guys" if you know what I mean... and the 501st wouldn't look right with Phase 1 helmets and the same painted armor...

also now I can fix that horrible inconsistency that has been itching me all this time, the clones on Kashyyyk still have Phase I buckets when they should have Phase II (this is right about where Order 66 is issued, cuz right after the Kashyyyk levels the war is supposedly over, and the clones were def using Phase II by then...

The 501st has painted armor in the CW series and a phase I bucket. I think they look just fine. Better, in fact, than the ROTS clones.

When we get Sideshow's, I plan on doing a similar pose. He's too cool to pose with the helmet off (or switched out for a portrait head which will likely be the case).

Yes please, SS 1/6 Commandoes. I will take plenty!

I only wish they have great designers for weapons used in the series. Guns in Halo, Mass Effect 1 & 2 and where else are far cooler than in SW prequels.

I have a feeling SS would price them at about $120 a pop... just think about all the bulky armor, all the different gesturing hands ("Delta Squad let's form up!"), the different DC-17m attatchments and grenades, plus the huge backpack! And the blue glowing visor would most likely be paint, actual lights would drive the price way up.. So they're probably at the bottom (if anywhere) on sideshow's list...

I'm sure someone will eventually do custom 1/6 commandos and sell armor kits or something...

What do you DO for a living?

I think you sell drugs to teenagers and rob banks on the side if you have that kind of money to spend on toys...

or at least you must not have a wife or kids... they're too expensive, which is why I'm single

I'd probably get one squad ($480? I could manage if I saved up for a few years...) and paint them based on how I'm feeling at the moment... like for a while it might be Delta, then might switch to Omega, then my own custom squad that I made for my RC game mod...

Actually, I have a wife, two kids, and a great apartment that's walking distance from the beach. I started a magazine for a hobby I like and it's doing fairly well. I'm not rich by any means, but I'm very careful with what I buy so I don't have to worry about it. And the RC's would be worth the investment.

just the idea of sideshow making those guys makes me happy. if they did make them, especially if they were as well done as their current clones, $120 would be a steal. be cool to see various weapon mods for the dc-17 also.
