The Amazing Race - Season 16

I'm only 5 minutes into the first episode, which aired tonight, and God bless DVR's, but this season looks to be really good. The "cast" is completely random.

I love that the beauty pageant girl ("the Iraq, therefore, such as") is part of the race. I don't think she is as dumb as she came off as, but we'll see.

Yeah, the "cast" looks good. I thought the grandma would be the first one out and then they did the exploring montage with her running etc... She zoomed right past the two cops from Rhode Island (speaking of which weren't the brothers from Rhode Island as well?... What are the chances of that?).

wow, if the couple couldn't eve make it through a rope bridge after 2X, no business being on the race. I thought the cowboys were going to be out after reading your post about grandma

This does look to be a really good season with a good balance of interesting teams. And making them use public transportation at the very beginning was a bit of surprise. I wonder what else they've done to change things up.

I wouldn't call TAR or Survivor guilty pleasures. There both really well done shows that are better than a lot of stuff on tv. No reason to feel guilty for watching them.

Survivor, Amazing Race, "Real" World, and MTV RRRW Gauntlet are all addictions I've succumbed to. Oh yeah, and Hell's Kitchen. sitcoms, other than The Office and Modern Family, suck.

I get tired of reality shows after awhile because they start to feel like variations on the same theme. But after taking off for a few seasons I'm back on the Amazing Race. Survivor too if I can remember that its on.

I can't get enough of good reality tv. Watching first episode of new season of survivor ( for second time) as I type (Stephanie and her popped shoulder is a bad ass).

I loved yesterday's episode. Jordan is just as dumb as I remember and Miss Carolina seems to be smarter than I gave her credit for. I think this season will be one of the best but I'll still be rooting for Jordan no matter what. Ever since I saw her naked on Big Brother After Dark I've been smitten with that moron.

I really enjoyed tonights episode. The bus trip/planning was great.

lesbian team, hate 'em
cowboy team, love 'em


Now that granny is done, I'm routing for beauty queen or cowboys.

Yeah, not liking the lesbians at all. I wouldn't mind seeing them gone.

The cowboys are great. I think the other teams underestimate them. Taking the other bus was smart thinking.

I picked the cowboys and my wife picked the detectives to win... she got a bit of a scare tonight. I sure wouldn't hire those guys if they can't even read a sign. They sure have picked some dumb teams this season too.

Gutsy Grandma getting kicked in the head by a cow and then keeping on trucking... But what are her other grandkids thinking when she essentially said that her granddaughter that she was in the race with was her favourite out of all of her grandkids?... Didn't she ever take Grandma 101?

Cowboys were great last night. Hope they keep their humour up (just like Jordan and Jeff-- ).

I find myself rooting for the Beauty Queen team too. I love when people are nasty about somoene else's intelliegence and then look like idiots themselves. Which is why I hope the lesbian team and the brother team go soon.

This show truly perpetuates all the negative stereotypes I have about homosexuals. I always find myself wanting the homosexual teams to be eliminated early...

I dislike the brother team more than the two lesbians. But that's mostly because of how annoying the gay one is. I hope the beauty queen stomps their asses.
