The thing is, I wasn't trying to come off as a genius was I? Nor was I trying to promote some kind of "incredible" discovery. I was simply doing what people do on discussion forums; discussing. And seeing as this is a forum where people discuss things they share a common passion for (although recently, it seems to be people discussing something they share a common hatred for), I would've thought that people posting in The Amazing Spider-Man thread would "give a flying squirrel" about what someone has to say on the The Amazing Spider-Man. Perhaps I'm wrong. Maybe I should've posted it in The Hobbit thread.

Disagreeing is fine. The world would be boring if we all agreed. You, however, didn't just disagree with me, you reacted negatively and immaturely to what I was saying, which suggests that you probably found what I was saying to be valid. You didn't like what I had to say, and acted like a child as a result.

What I said wasn't belittling to anybody, simply trying to back up a point with another point of view.

I wasn't using my own worlds, because... it's a quote from somebody else? I have already discussed how TASM wasn't a remake of SM, so I was just simply sharing another's point of view. What am I supposed to do with a quote then, pass it off as my own?

Again, you are suggesting that my post was more complex in nature than it actually was and insinuating that I believe the guy to be a messiah or something. I was just... posting... another's... opinion. One that happens to mirror my own. Has that not been done before? You made much more of it than there actually was. Again, likely because you found it to be valid and didn't like it? I don't know.

And I don't care about what level or "mode" of "riled up" someone is, all I know is that Nam normally has a tendency to dismiss people's posts as insignificant and makes fun of them if he doesn't like what they are saying. In fact, I'm being harsh by just singling him out. A LOT of people on here do that.

You're actually doing the same thing, dismissing what I'm saying as "crap" just because you might disagree with it. And you're coming out with all these scenarios, name calling and anecdotes to try and counter what I'm saying, which just shows that you haven't really got anything of value to say on the matter. If you can't say anything constructive or discuss something without insulting or making fun of someone, then just don't say anything at all.

At the end of the day, this all arose from you not liking what I was saying and choosing to act like a child about it and blow it out of proportion. I said what I thought in a harmless way, and you could've just disagreed. That would've been fine. Heck, it's your right to disagree. But you didn't just disagree, so that is that.

Again, why are you referring to my post as insignificant ramblings?! I literally do not understand your thought process here. It's a thread about The Amazing Spider-Man, one of the topics often dicussed is the remake vs re-adaptation argument, so I posted something that was related to the same debate on the same movie series. Relevant and significant. Sure, perhaps it was a little late because people seemed to have moved on to moaning about Electro again (as the last 10+ pages show), but I just saw it on that day and wanted to post it. If I knew it would cause this much of a backlash or hurt you, then I wouldn't have bothered.

And no, it didn't hurt my feelings. I have thick enough skin to not allow someone who could be anything from a 6 year old boy to an 80 year old female in front of a keyboard and an ego to hurt my feelings. I just thought it was a bad way to respond to someone who was just trying to contribute to an on-going discusion just like everybody else is. If you didn't like what I had to say, there were a million other ways you could've approached it.
