I like Sony's approach to making their Spidey Universe movies. Doing a movie from the VILLAINS' perspective is brilliant. And it is probably the most intriguing element of the whole Spidey Cinematic Universe. Spider-man has arguably one of the most recognizable Rogues' Gallery out of ALL comic book villains (I think the only guy that comes close or possibly tops him is Batman). So to turn it around and use movies to build the bad guys as opposed to how much we already know about the good guy (and constantly retelling HIS story) is very interesting and exciting to look forward to.

It's like "the Avengers" gone bad. Instead of a bunch of good guys, you have a group of selfish, ego-maniacal, insane, or whatever-evil-traits-you-want-to-tag-on CHARACTERS and that will make for drama and their struggle to become a team much more dynamic and fascinating to me IF SONY HANDLES IT CORRECTLY.

It was the only way Sony could have an Avengers/JLa type of flick....Except its a villain team..:):wink1:

Yup! But it's so much more awesome because Spidey's villains are VERY recognizable. Everyone knows Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Vulture, Kraven, etc. etc. And while good guys come together for overall "Good and Heroic" reasons. These guys are all teaming up for the "WRONG" reasons (but "RIGHT" in their minds). To get rid of a common threat.

Plus, bad guys and the personalities surrounding them are typically more interesting than the good guys in my opinion. Why do you think reality TV shows and a lot of the more recent violent/drama shows (Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Vikings, etc.) THRIVE on the bad drama? Because that's what people like to see!

I really hope Sony does this right, because this is a real winner in my opinion.

If Sinister Six is supposed to be a redemption story, I'm beginning to think Harry will be the protagonist in the end and Norman will return as the main antagonist. They'll probably make Norman the Ultimate Goblin Version. Harry and Norman clearly despised each other in ASM 2 so I don't think this is out of the question.

It's not going to feel the same without Otto calling the shots.

I could see Otto being the main leader as a cover up, while Norman acts behind the scenes for a reveal in the middle or end of the movie. Afterwards, I see Harry still dying to save peter in ASM 3 (yet again), or being killed in sinister six.

the problem about a sinister six movie is that Marc Webb won't do an action movie.

he needs to add romance and mopey romantic scenes and drama. So we will have like 10 minutes of villain time and 2 hours of peter and Mary Jane. so this is not looking too good either.

What's the point of making a Sinister Six movie and then adding spiderman if they are going to focus on the romantic aspects alone?

I thought Marc Webb wasn't directing sinister six?

Drew Goddard is writing and directing I believe.
