I don't like that muscle contours are painted on the suit to make up for the lack of actual muscle

That mask isn't working for me at all. In that second pic you can see how lumpy it is. The previous film's mask had some type of liner, much better. I hate the gold lenses. I hate the square web pattern.
Most of all the actor isn't making it work. There hasn't been a shot so far to sell me on this suit.

Some designs might work on film because they are carefully photographed. It's like when someone says "Get my good side."
Some designs work on film because they are great. You have to try to take a bad picture/render of Iron Man's armor (any of the OMHO). They are outstanding designs that just work.
It also has more than a bit to do with the actor in the suit.
RDJr has charisma. He's as great to watch just as Tony than when he's suited up.
Andrew Garfield so far is kinda meh.

Look, Tobey stank up the room in 3 so I'm OK they re-cast. (The best thing in 3 was James Franco when he was just being Harry)
Maybe Garfield will be OK. But there are some actors who are always aware they are on set and there are cameras everywhere. And they do a better job with that than we have seen so far here.
