You guys have too much time on your hands. I've posted things that long before, but, normally, those uberlong posts have a 1:100 ratio attached to them. I don't know how you guys can keep the banter going for that long. Blackthornone in particular.

It's not banter, and it's not for entertainment. I realize the existence of racism is not very important, or anything, but I'm the kind of ******* that can't keep his point of view to himself when people express their stupid ideas in public. Sorry. From now on I'll just whine about toys with everyone else.

I was just making light of the fact that 90% of the thread is between you and Blackthornone. Honestly, though, I agree with you. Racism is ****ing stupid, and, you'd think that, as progressive as we've become, we'd have made strides to get rid of it, but, as Forrest Gump's mama said, "stupid is as stupid does," and, as long as there are stupid people, there's going to be racism.

Racism is stupid. It is based upon ignorance, like the ignorance of the things that make people unique, special and valuable, and devaluing them for having those attributes.
Lack of respect for people's unique and particular qualities that make them great is insulting.

Everything about a person is transient. Personality and character are transient, too. Easier to change ones character than one's race, so character, personality, and consciousness are all more transient than one's race.

People learn and develop constantly throughout their lives, but race remains the same for their lifetime, as well as the lifetimes of many of their descendents.

Consciousness is very changeable. That's why advertising works so well, especially on children. You can raise a black person to act like a white person, but you can't make them white for 20,000 years.
