Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Well that’s simply not what movie magic is made of ! All those things you just said hardly matter at all. They need good acting story telling action marketing. And btw I just saw Batman 89 in theaters. Packed , everybody clapped for “IM BATMAN”. Yeah pretty ****ing cool!!!!!!!!! Especially for an actor that nobody believed in.

Did people clap when Clooney said "This is why Superman works alone?" When I saw EG on Tuesday i was bummed that my theater wasn't showing B&R because i really wanted to theater hop after EG for the greatest double feature of all time, lol.

Uhhhhmmmmm yes people we’re hooting and hollering the entire time. And it’s “the worst” Batman movie. End I would’ve went into endgame afterwords if the first 2 hours and 45 minutes weren’t so boring and hulkless Hahahah.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

I'm not against the casting of Robert Pattinson but I'd prob rather see Nicholas hoult. At least he has some kind of muscles lol but neither are the rugged, beefy men I see as batman. In this regard jake gyllenhaal would have been perfect, but there's no hope for him I guess?

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

BvS Batman was the most impressive looking intimidating beast of a Batman ever put to screen he will never look that monstrous ever again.

BvS Affleck was the best visual representation of BW as well.

All gone!

Agreed. But you would think a younger Batman would be more lean, hence Pattinson. I think he would be able to pack enough weight to look legit.

The suit however needs to have a good amount of blue to it like the Hush look.

If the creators really want and think Pattinson can do this, then rhey should cast him. Do not give into the rabid fanbase!

I just want to see what the Batman costume will look like. Don't care who they cast.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

After how many Batman films now I highly doubt the character of Batman will ever have a cinematic moment like Cap’s in EG.

Not happening.

Ever.

“I’m Batman” ain’t going to cut it anymore after what we witnessed in EG that’s for certain.

What, are you going to say he can still face-off against a great Joker or kick some serious ass sorry but we got that already in TDK and BvS warehouse.

Now yes if comparing to EG Hulk then yes Batman still has a great future ahead of him lol

But unfortunately for Batman he ain’t touching Cap’s glorious moment anytime soon.

Batman has nothing in common with Cap. Cap is comparable to Superman. Cavil can't touch MCU Cap, but MCU Cap can't touch Reeve's Superman because he didn't have the same impact as Reeve in the role. RDJ is closer to Reeve in that regard.

Iron Man on the other hand is the Bruce Wayne of the MCU. He's a cool billionaire, womanizer, genius who wears a cool suit to fight crime. I don't think ANY Batman can touch RDJ as Iron Man's "I Am Iron Man" moment in EG or his 11 year run and arc in the MCU, because RDJ has redefined the character and he's synonymous with the role. He's in the Mount Rushmore of superhero actors, along with Jackman and Reeve. There's no definitive Batman on screen, just different guys. Affleck looked the best but his films sucked. Bale's Bruce Wayne is great and he has the best trilogy, but his Batman isn't great. And the 90's actors were in bad movies. Keaton is a skinny midget, and his Bruce Wayne isn't cool.

We've seen everything that can be done with Batman on screen one way or another, whether it was in a good movie or in a bad film, there are pieces everywhere like a puzzle. Maybe they can put it ALL in ONE movie.

I think that Superhero Mt. Rushmore is actually pretty big thanks to the MCU. I think Evans Cap and Hemsworth Thor can be added to the line-up because it's hard to picture audiences accepting anyone else in those roles if they even dared to "James Bond" them out to different actors for at least 10 years, maybe more. And over those 10 years their link to those characters will only grow. But really you can apply that to almost anyone in the MCU who has played their character in more than one film. Who will accept a different Nick Fury, Ant-Man, Star Lord, BP, Doctor Strange, and so on? This 22 film run has cemented these actors as these characters like no superhero franchise before it.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Great post Clown but I would say Evans being given the AA line AND the hammer AND surviving at the end has made his status come closer to RDJ.

People are discussing way more about Cap’s triumphant line, hammer and time travel with Peggy than they are Stark’s death.

EG has earned Evans/Cap lots of capital.

Maybe not at RDJ levels but you can’t deny that EG was a big win for Evans/Cap.

Time will tell. I just can't see anyone replacing RDJ because if a new actor acts differently, if won't feel like Tony Stark, and if they try to mimic RDJ, he'll be a copy. RDJ is not only a great dramatic actor, but he can do comedy, improvise and he manages to walk a fine line between being a jerk, sympathetic, insensitive, caring, being an antagonist, all while being a charming guy. Chris Evans basically plays a straight man. He's a serious by the book kind of guy. Henthworth is great at comedy which is why they changed his character to comedic role. I could see other people doing it. It'd be weird at first, but what they do with those characters is easier to pull off, imo.

As far as the rest, I could see other people. I never accepted SLJ as Nick Fury. He's just SLJ with an eye patch, not Fury. I can see the rest being played by other actors too. A young Alan Rickman would have been a great Dr Strange. Zac Efron could probably play Star Lord.
